Earth day is celebrated around the world on April 22 to demonstrate support

for environmental protection. Even as we stayed home and maintained social

distance, Tagoreans did not cease to showcase their responsibility towards

the environment. Our students expressed concern for mother earth through

different art forms and showcased their vision of earth day.

CELEBRATIONS LABOUR DAY

RABINDRA JAYANTI

Named after the towering personality, the school celebrates Rabindra Jayanthi every year. Inculcating the values and beliefs of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore is an integral part of our school curriculum. To commemorate Gurudev’s 159th birth anniversary, students were engaged in a variety of activities. And yes, rising to the challenges posed by the lockdown, everything still happened in the manner it should have happened online !

TAGOREANS AS CORONA WARRIORS

In the current scenario, where everyone is trying to be with each other, supporting and lending a helping hand,

so that the world is free from this epidemic situation as soon as possible, our young Tagoreans are no way

behind. They are acting as Young Corona Warriors in their own

ways.

Our student, Naman Kar of class V, made us

proud when he played for an Online Musical

Charity Concert, to raise funds for Delli Seva

#Covid19, corona infected families.

Our young Shanaya Shegal, recorded a message on Safety tips from Corona Virus,

including the relevance of washing hands, sanitization, masks

etc.

The words of Rabindranath Tagore, are well

suited for this situation and are well presented by

Annisha Mandal of IX B through her sketch titled

“Where the Mind is Without Fear”

A self composition thanking all the Corona

Warriors, by our senior students in the form of a

movie is a motivation that we are going in the

right path.

“Baahar Na Jaana, ghar me hi rehna”, a

message from our tiny tots, requesting to stay

home and spend quality time with their

families. This was a short movie featuring our

tiny tots from KG class.

The students also clicked amazing pics during this time to send across

the message to the society that we are still Positive in the wake of this

Pandemic.

Arjun Khajuria of class XII D,

penned down his views in the form of his

poem “RUST”.

Students of class XI created an animation on “How to be a Corona Warrior” and

protect yourself and family Social Distancing,

washing hands, sanitization, no travelling etc are

some of the points emphasized.

A heartfelt gratitude to all the corona warriors , on

behalf of all the students, staff and the

Management of TIS, in the form of a short video is

recorded. We thank each and every person who is standing and fighting against

this COVID.
