MMAASSOONN CCIITTYY —Twenty-eight studentsfrom Mason City HighSchool attained the high-est individual honor avail-able to Iowa high schoolmusicians by being select-ed to perform at the 2010All-State Music Festival.The 2010 Festival will cel-ebrate the 64th anniver-sary of this event.

District auditions forthe 279-piece All-StateBand, 198-piece Orches-tra, and 601-voice Choruswere held on Saturday,Oct. 23, at Storm Lake,Hampton, Manchester,Harlan, Indianola andFairfield. Approximately17 percent of the studentswho audition are selectedfor membership in the All-State ensembles.
