The Fountains at RiverVue One RiverVue Place Tuckahoe, NY 10707 Irish Bagpipes with Pat Roniger Join Pat Roniger, Manhattan College's Pipe Major, on Saturday, March 7th as he plays the Irish Bagpipes in the Activity Studio. His performance will begin at 4:30 pm. If you are an Irish-American living in Westchester, chances are you have visited Mclean Avenue a time or two. Mclean Avenue, also known as the Emerald Mile of Westchester, lies on the boarder of Yonkers and the Bronx. For decades, Mclean Avenue and its surrounding neighborhood, has been a new beginning for so many Irish immigrants. The Emerald Mile is known for its authentic Irish cuisine and culture, St. Barnabas School and Catholic Church, "Meet Me on Mclean" parade, and its countless Irish pubs. Celebrating Longevity Balance is Back According to the National Institute on Aging, balance fitness classes are all the rage right now. Having good balance can help prevent slips, trips, falls, and other dangers that the aging population is prone to. These classes will strengthen ones core, increase flexibility, and improve overall coordination. So.... on that note, we have some exciting news! Lifelong's occupational therapist, Jeff Ciolino, has found us a new balance specialist to lead our morning balance class, beginning this spring. The first class will be held on Tuesday, March 3rd at 10:15 in the Activity Studio. All of Jeff's instructors are highly qualified balance specialist who will guide you through the entire program. The Inn

Did you know that we have

two residents living at the

Fountains who are over 100

years old? Connie Rinaldi

(left) and Frank Marra are

both turning 102 this year.

Connie has been living at the

Fountains for almost six

years, and Frank, a little less

than a year. They are both incredible individuals with

such inspiring stories. So inspiring, that new resident,

Gloria decided to write an article about them. Gloria recently

moved into our community this past fall. She is an avid reader,

loves jazz music and enjoys traveling. Gloria spent the past month

researching and writing her article with the help of local

volunteer, Joanna Lumanas and Gloria's dear friend, Sonia Loui.

The title of her article is "Celebrating Longevity at the Fountains",

in honor of Connie and Frank. You can find her article on our

CelebratingLongevity Balance is Back

According to the National Institute on

Aging, balance fitness classes are all the

rage right now. Having good balance can

help prevent slips, trips, falls, and other

dangers that the aging population

is prone to. These classes will strengthen

ones core, increase flexibility, and

improve overall coordination.

So.... on that note, we have some

exciting news! Lifelong's occupational

therapist, Jeff Ciolino, has found us a

new balance specialist to lead our

morning balance class, beginning this

spring. The first class will be held on

Tuesday, March 3rd at 10:15 in the

Activity Studio. All of Jeff's instructors

are highly qualified balance specialist

who will guide you through the entire

program.

Resident Welcome Luncheon! Joan is one of many new community members

who just joined the RiverVue family. This special luncheon has become

quite the tradition over the past few years. On the second Wednesday of

each month, our dining staff prepares a scrumptious meal for all of the

newbies- and it usually includes a juicy filet mignon and a banana split.
