ANNOUNCING “WALKING WITH PURPOSE” DURING LENT
Are you interested in getting together with a group of women to explore your faith? You don’t have much Scripture knowledge, but you would like to see how the Scriptures apply to your everyday life? If so, we invite you to consider joining “Walking with Purpose” at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church, starting on Tuesday, Feb 13th.
“Walking with Purpose” is a Catholic Bible study program for women that aims to bring us to a deeper personal relationship with Christ. Through personal study and small group discussions, the group helps to link our everyday challenges with solutions given to us through the teachings of Christ and the Catholic Church.
We will study the 6-week foundational course entitled, Living in the Father’s Love, during Lent. It is a brief but powerful study meant to revive and refresh us as we discover just how much God loves us!
Tuesdays from 4:45pm-6pm Feb 13, 20, 27, March 6, 13, 20th
in the Maximilian Room (basement of the Rectory)
A $30 materials fee will be collected at the first meeting. For questions or to sign-up for the course, please email Elizabeth Burke at [email protected] or call the Rectory at 610-399-6936.
We welcome the newest members of
St. Maximilian Kolbe who were recently baptized.
May God bless them and their families.

MONTHLY FOOD DRIVE The regular monthly collection of NON-PERISHABLE FOOD ITEMS for the needy of Chester County will take place the weekend of February 3-4, 2018. Please leave your donations in the bins in the vestibule. Your generous contributions of food are greatly appreciated.
BASICS OF THE FAITH Basics of the Faith is an ongoing monthly series dealing with basic doctrines of the Catholic Church.
Our topic in 2017-2018 is "All Things Visible and Invisible." We'll discuss the reality of non-material creation, including angels and devils and their interactions with humanity.
You’re welcome to attend any individual session. No prior knowledge or preparation is needed. Our next session will be Sunday, February 4, 2018 from 8:45 to 10:15 am in the Maximilian Room. The topic will be a brief introduction to Satan and the demonic realm. It will include a video by Bishop Barron, examples of demons in the New Testament, as well as information from the Catechism of the Catholic Church and other sources.
Coffee, tea, and cake will be provided. To be added to our mailing list for information on upcoming sessions, contact Anne Chavez at [email protected]. Outlines and narrated PowerPoints of previous topics are available at www.basicsofthefaith.org.
