Memorial services will be held on Saturday Dec. 7, at 11 a.m. at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Wheatland, with Pastor Tessa Cavey officiating. Visitation was held on Friday, Dec. 6, from 3-7 p.m. also at the church. Burial will be at a later date at St. Paul’s Cemetery in Wheatland. Owen was born on Oct. 16, 1944, to Paul and Burdell (Freese) Boedeker in Wheatland, Iowa. He attended and graduated from Wheatland High School. Owen mar- ried Judy Casad on June 19, 1965, at St. Paul’s in Wheatland. Owen began working at Wheatland Auto Body in 1964 for his future father-in-law, and in 1985 he and Judy purchased the family business. Owen was a member of St. Paul’s UCC, a Lion’s Club member, and had served on the city council and was a former mayor of Wheatland. He enjoyed NASCAR, watching the Cubs and Hawkeyes, camping, golfing, working on old cars and tractors, and doing things with his grandkids and great-grandkids. Owen also liked to travel, going to Branson and watching the shows. He is survived by his wife, Judy; daughter, Keri (Terry) Matzen of Wheatland; son, Doug (Glenda) of Wheatland; grandchildren, Alex and Tyler Matzen, Michael (Megan) Gray, and Rebecca (Chris) Benischek; great-grand- children, Lance, Olivia, and Logan Gray and Emerson Benischek; siblings, Orville (Janet) Boedeker of Wheatland, Orland Boedeker of Toronto, LuAnna Holdorf of Davenport, Larry (Sharon) Boedeker of Calamus, Laverne (Joyce) Boedeker of Calamus, and Lucille (Tom) Oseland of Manistee, MI; and sisters-in-law, Jane Bentrott, Janet Oberg, and Neva Casad. Owen was preceded in death by his par- ents; mother-in-law and father-in-law Glen and Delora Casad; brother-in-law Max Casad; and several aunts, uncles, and cous- ins. Jeffery Davis Jeffery A. “Jeff” Davis, 68, of Maquoketa, Iowa, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 3, 2019, at his home. Friends and family may gather in remem- brance of Jeff from 3 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7, at The Timber Center, 1005 E. Platt St., Maquoketa. A private family service will be held at Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa. Cremation rites have been accorded. Jeffery Allen Davis was born on Oct. 24, 1951, in Maquoketa, Iowa, to Robert D. and Betty Laurine (Lange) Davis Sr. He was a 1969 graduate of Maquoketa High School. He then worked at Clinton Engines in Maquoketa from 1969 to 1971 and Caterpillar at Mt. Joy from 1972 to 1987. From 1989 until present he was the business owner and operator of the American Family Insurance Office in Maquoketa. He married Becky Hurley on Sept. 27, 1969, in Kirksville, Missouri, and to this union four children were born: Kim, Brian, Sandra and Susannah. He later married Jennie Rae Brinkman on June 19, 2010, in Lost Nation, Iowa. Jeff was a mem- ber of the Jackson County Beef Producers and a former Boy Scout leader. He was a great storyteller who loved a good laugh. He enjoyed farming and combined for five straight days in November of this year. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, building houses, occasional gambling at the “boat” and wine trips/discovery tours. Those left to honor Jeff’s memory include his wife, Jennie Davis of Maquoketa, Iowa; children, Kim (Jim) Ernst of Clinton, Iowa, Brian (Lawrence) Davis of Maquoketa, Iowa, Sandra (Alen) Kloos of Maquoketa, Iowa, and Susannah (fiancé Derrick Dirks) of Lost Nation, Iowa; bonus children, Bryce (fiancé Danika Sawyer) Perry of Lowden, Iowa, and Abigail (Eric Atwater) Perry of Davenport, Iowa; 11 grandchildren; three great-grand- children; brothers, Robert (Judy) Davis Jr. of Sabula, Iowa, Thomas (Kathleen) Davis of Delmar, Iowa, Larry (Pam) Davis of Maquoketa, Iowa, and Boyd (Rhonda) Davis of Maquoketa, Iowa; and a sister, Kaye Miller of Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his par- ents, sister Monica Faye, and his father-in- law and mother-in-law Raymond and Laura Brinkman. Owen BoedekerOwen Henry Boedeker, 75, of Wheatland,

passed away suddenly on Monday, Dec. 2, 2019.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday Dec. 7, at 11 a.m. at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Wheatland, with Pastor Tessa Cavey officiating. Visitation was held on Friday, Dec. 6, from 3-7 p.m. also at the church. Burial will be at a later date at St. Paul’s Cemetery in Wheatland.

Owen began working at Wheatland Auto Body in 1964 for his future father-in-law, and in 1985 he and Judy purchased the family business.
