Message from the MinisterThe NSW Government is pleased to again be the Official Partner of CeBIT Australia 2016, the largest and most significant business technology event in Australasia.

It is appropriate that CeBIT is held in Sydney, Australia’s largest, internationally renowned and globally-connected hub for information and communications technology (ICT) companies and startups. Sydney is home to 46.5 per cent of Australia’s startup companies, making it an innovation hotspot. In addition, NSW has an $18.6 billion information, media and telecommunications industry – the largest of any Australian State. CeBIT will help us grow this industry by connecting our companies with potential business partners from around the world and to showcase our numerous ICT strengths.

The NSW Government recognises the vitally important employment role of its ICT industry and continues to work closely with the industry to help create the jobs of the future. I encourage you to take the opportunity at CeBIT – including the NSW Government’s main and startup stands – to experience first-hand NSW’s strong and fertile ICT environment.

Anthony Roberts MPMinister for Industry, Resources and Energy

OFFICIAL PARTNER

Welcome from the Managing Director

It is with pleasure that I invite you to take a look at the outline of the most comprehensive and action-packed CeBIT Australia created to date.

CeBIT Australia has a new team developing the event and over the last year we have been working hard to present you with the best thought-leaders and solutions in the business technology sector.

Our conference program has a new structure this year with eleven individual conferences, featuring over one hundred speakers. The conferences will cover a broad spectrum of topics in detail, ranging from Cloud and Big Data through to Digital Marketing. We are also delighted to welcome our keynote speakers including Kathryn Parsons, Co-Founder & Co-Chief Executive Officer, Decoded, Dr Joanna Batstone, Chief Technology Officer, IBM Australia and Scott Anthony, Managing Partner, Innosight.

The CeBIT exhibition will also be designed in an easy to navigate manner, with twelve dedicated zones including Cloud, IoT, Mobility, Big Data, Digital Marketing, FinTech and more. We have around four hundred exhibiting companies this year, representing the best of business technology solutions.

The exhibition will be supported by three Showfloor Theatres, offering practical advice for attendees to utilise in their workplace.

CeBIT StartUp has grown over the last four years and we are now proud to host the largest start-up gathering in Australia. This year all attendees are invited to attend the CeBIT StartUp Conference, Exhibition and the exciting PitchFest contest.

The CeBIT Gala Dinner will celebrate the success stories of the last year and provides a great networking opportunity.

We are pleased to announce new initiatives including CeBIT BLACK, designed for CXOs in the ASX 200. This will be held at the Museum of Contempory Art on Thursday 28 April and features keynote addresses, a charity auction and extensive networking opportunities.

Meanwhile in late 2015 we launched CeBIT 365. A content hub for our community, supported by enewsletters and social media. We have had great feedback so far and I encourage you to sign-up at cebit.com.au.

I hope that you can join us at Australasia’s largest and longest running business technology event.

Kind regards

Harvey StockbridgeManaging DirectorHannover Fairs Australia
