Topics Include: Proper handling of weapons Responsibility of handgun

ownership Concealed carry Interaction with law enforcement Laws regarding use of firearms Range safety rules Demonstration of safe firearms

handling skills Live fire of authorized weapon(s)

--Firearms and ammo areto be left in your vehicleuntil instructed to retrieve.

Additional Information:

Participants must bring the following items to receive certification: --Eye and ear protection --30 rounds of factory ammunition in box (per firearm) --An additional magazine or speed loader for each firearm --All weapons to be listed on the permit (up to 3)

NO SPECTATORS ALLOWED

Attire: Long pants, closed-toed shoes, no tank tops

Bring your food and drink for the day.

The County of San Bernardino I, ________________________________, fully understand that my participation in the (Last) (First) (MI.) Carrying Concealed Weapons Safety Course (hereafter referred to as “Event”) exposes me to the risk of injury, death or property damage. I hereby acknowledge that I am voluntarily participating in this event and expressly agree to assume any such risks. In consideration for being permitted to participate in this event, I hereby release and forever discharge the County of San Bernardino, it’s officers, employees, agents and volunteers for any injury, death, or damage to me or loss of personal property arising out of or in connection with my participation in this event from whatever cause, including the active or passive negligence of the County of San Bernardino, it’s officers, employees, agents and volunteers or any other participants in this event. In further consideration for being allowed to participate in this event, I hereby agree, for myself, my department, my heirs, administrators, executors and assigns, that I shall indemnify and hold harmless the County of San Bernardino, it’s officers, employees, agents and volunteers from any and all claims, demands, actions for suits arising out of or in connection with my participation in this event brought by any third party. I have also read and understand the County of San Bernardino Sheriff’s Regional Training Center’s Firearms Range Rules and Regulations. I have carefully read this release and hold harmless agreement and fully understand its contents. I am aware it is a full release of liability and sign it of my own free will.
