If you have NOT purchased tags before: A Canadian Livestock Tracking System (CLTS) database account ID is required to purchase approved indicators (tags).NOTE: If you have purchased approved tags for beef, dairy, bison, sheep, goats or cervids, then you will already have a CLTS database account.

To create a CLTS account:Complete a New Account Request Form found at: https://www.canadaid.ca/clts/clts-forms/ on the Canadian Cattle Identification Agency (CCIA) website www.canadaid.ca orcontact CCIA at 1-877-909-2333.Return the completed form to CCIA by: a) Email: [email protected] b) Fax: 403-275-1668

What’s next?1. Visit tags.canadaid.ca and click on “Producers Place an Order” option. Using your tag order user name and password, log in and explore the site. This opens the tag product page for beef tags.

2. Use the tabs to navigate to beef breed and species specific products.

3. To see the products available for each brand of pre-approved tags click on the tab and click View All. If you are ready to order, enter the quantity (i.e. number of packages). EXAMPLE: If the quantity shown is P25, then the number of indicators in that package is 25. Click Add to Cart.

4. Once you have completed your order, review to confirm accuracy. NOTE: When pre-approved tags or accessories are selected for purchase that are not in stock, the warehouse fills and ships the order when the inventory arrives at the warehouse.

5. Once confirmed, click Checkout.

6. Review the Ship to Address for accuracy, then click Next.

7. Enter your credit card information for payment. Click Next.

8. Review the order, then click Place Order. When the order is submitted, the system emails the purchaser an order confirmation number to the email address provided within the user’s contact information. NOTE: Orders are not complete until confirmation number is received.

3. There is a $5.25 processing fee (including GST) per invoice.

4. Your invoice can be emailed to you or sent by regular mail.

5. You can pay by cheque, electronic transfer or credit card. Once payment is received, the certificate(s) will be sent to the purchaser.

To redeem a gift certificate (mail in rebate system):1. The Recipient will place a tag order directly online or by calling CCIA at 1-877-909-2333

2. The transaction must be for the full value of the certificate or greater.

3. Once the order is completed, the recipient simply mails the certificate to CCIA with the self-addressed envelope that is provided, along with a proof of purchase or an invoice number.
