VINDICATION

Rom 12:19-21 Dearly beloved, avenge not YOURSELVES,

but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written,

VENGEANCE IS MINE;

I will repay, saith the Lord. Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

Every instance of vengeance, always pertains to judgement

VENGEANCE IS MINE

God wants to be very clear about his personal role of ownership as it pertains to VENGEANCE. Three times this terminology is referenced in the bible. The first time it is found, God himself is speaking and he immediately establishes the importance;

Dt 32:35 To ME belongeth VENGEANCE (not you-me, but he-me)

Heb 10:30 For we know him that hath said, VENGEANCE BELONGETN UNTO ME, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.

“Vengeance is mine”. It’s an act of God’s personal judgement that unveils a plan-a two fold repayment plan of; 1) being avenged, it’s a retribution of all the wrongs.2) being vindicated, it’s a revelation of all the rights. Vindication fulfills a higher more noble character than just bare bones revenge. Revenge is NOT necessarily evil, but in the bible it is always spoken of from the human perspective. Thus, the potential risk of revenge is “Don’t get mad just get even.”Eze 25:15 Thus saith the Lord God; Because the Philistines have dealt by REVENGE, and have taken VENGEANCE WITH A DESPITEFUL HEART, to destroy it for the OLD HATRED;

Which came first? Revenge or the rabid old hatred?

Have you ever been bitten with rabid OLD HATRED… and

then in the future comes a foaming mouth for REVENGE?

The story is told of a woman who was bitten by a mad dog. It looked as if she was going to die of rabies, so the doctor told her she should make herself a will. Taking her pen and paper she began to write; in fact she wrote and wrote and wrote. Finally the doctor said, “That is surely a long will you’re making.”

She snorted, “Will nothing! I’m making a list of all the people I’m going to BITE!”

Jer 15:15 O LORD, thou knowest: remember me, and visit me, and REVENGE ME of my persecutors

Jer 11:20 But, O LORD of hosts, that judgest righteously, that triest the reins and the heart, LET ME SEE THY VENGEANCE ON THEM:

Lev 19:18 THOU SHALT NOT AVENGE, nor bear any GRUDGE against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the Lord.

BUT

There is no escaping the consequences of sin anyways. The law of sowing and reaping is universal. Karma is known among all peoples.

Acts 28:4. And when the barbarians saw the venomous beast hang on his hand, they said among themselves, No doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he hath escaped the sea, yet VENGEANCE suffereth not to live.

We know it’s gonna happen but we would just like to have the control of how and when it happens.

Is this why God is so insistent on saying it’s MINE-Why does the scripture clearly want us to recognize vengeance as being his personal and possessive responsibility?

VENGEANCE IS MINEIt is the purpose of this study today to try and demonstrate twofold that God’s intent of this phraseology is to show in real time the conclusive proof that he alone is God. That no one ever loved you the extent that he loves you. You must choose if you believe or not.

Vindication is the legalproof of God righting therights. It’s God’s fight, God’s proof, God’s evidence, God’s vengeance, God’s faith and God’s face!

The light must conquer the darkness. The good guy must defeat the bad guy. The super heroes must win against the villains. Everyone knows this is VINDICATION.

Read with me two of the same amazing scriptures and discover how God sees the difference between a repentant heart of a believer compared to the unrepentant heart of an unbeliever.

Pay attention to who is judging who and conversely who is justified in taking vengeance.

Luke 18 …but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. I tell you, this man went down to his house justified

Rom 3:3 For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect? God forbid: yea, LET GOD BE TRUE, but EVERY MAN A LIAR; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome WHEN THOU ART JUDGED.

But if our unrighteousness commend the righteousness of God, what shall we say? Is God unrighteous who taketh VENGEANCE? (I speak as a man) God forbid: for then how shall God judge the world?

VINDICATION

The ultimate revelation of who God is does not need man’s help in validating the TRUTH of who JESUS CHRIST is.

God does not need us to create or to touch up his already perfect image. Regardless of the artistic quality,

You either believe he is LORD or you do not.
