We usually think Christmas is in winter.

But in tropical countries, people greet Christmas in

the summer. Singapore is one of those countries.

Christmas in Singapore is busy. Singapore is

known as shopping heaven, so in some shopping

malls there are huge Christmas trees, and many

fancy lights to catch everyone’s attention. There are

also many Christmas trees on the streets.

There have been some remarkable events. The best one is ‘Christmas on a great

street’. Orchard Road, the main shopping street in Singapore is decorated with millions of

fancy and colourful lights; from Tanglin Mall to Plaza Singapore. It’s more than two

kilometers and it lights up our Christmas spirit.

These days’ electric cars are popular on the internet as a sustainable eco-friendly

transport. Electric cars are powered by electric motor which uses energy from electric battery. Global warming and high gas pricing has caused the unpopular electric cars to get popular starting in 2000s. Burning up the fossil fuels causes air pollution especially in China where there are many cars on the road. In 2013 huge smog polluted Shanghai and Eastern areas of China. Also in London, UK, 1952 there was huge smog due to factories and fossil fuel burning cars. The recent studies show that there is risk of Autism because of the cars polluting the air.

The first appearance of the EVs was in the 1880s. They were popular in the late 19th century and early 20th century. After 1920 electric cars disappeared due to cheap gasoline cars. Electric cars came back in 2000s with Tesla Roadster in 2008, Mitsubishi iMIEV in 2009. In 2010s BMW, Tesla, Honda, Nissan, Toyota, Honda, Volkswagen, Mercedes Benz and many other companies started making EVs.

There are many reasons why EVs are better than Gasoline-powered cars. They don’t affect the environment. Every year gas cars are polluting the air. While electric cars have zero-emission. The cost for keeping the electric car is a lot cheaper than keeping gas cars. Annual fuel cost for average gas car is $2000, but for electric cars it is only around $700. Electric motor can give instant torque to a car which makes it faster. Tesla Model S, a premium EV can produce 691hp and does 0-100 in 3.3 seconds. Also they’re very silent.

is a special car. Tesla is an EV making company from Palo Alto, California. This company is only 11years old and makes the best EV in the world. This car has many special features. It can go 460km on a single charge. The motor and the battery is under the car, so the car has trunk in the back and the “Frunk” in front. The empty spaces in the front make the car safer. If the car crashes, the front takes all the impact.

EVs are very good transport to ride; there are many benefits of getting an EV than a Gas-powered car.

Polar bears live in the North Pole. They have thick fur to survive in a -40 degrees Celsius environment and they can stand against strong wind of 120km/h.

They are very good swimmers and they enjoy hunting fish. Almost all bears go to the river to catch salmon. Mother polar bears teach their cubs how to catch fish.

They dig holes in the snow because their babies need to stay warm. Polar bears hibernate during the winter.

Polar bears stand on two feet and they can see things from far distances and also they can hear better when they stand.

VIXX is a k-pop boy group who is in ‘Jellyfish Entertainment’.

Vixx has four members which are Hongbin, Ravi, N, Hyuk, Leo and Ken. They debuted in 2012 with “Super Hero”. It was a very successful debut. They had more albums in

2012 which is “Rock Ur Body” and showed cute and bright concept.

In 2013, Vixx had a quite big hit by the song, “다칠 준비가 돼 있어”. They had

changed really much. It was a sexy and powerful vampire concept. They used weird and unique contact lens.

Vixx was popular from the powerful concept and in the new mini-album “hyde”, they had more strong song. But in other album which is “Jeykll”, Vixx had a bright and

lovely concept by title song “대.다.나.다.너” and had an opposite concept. Vixx had

first regular album by weird and sad concept which is “Voodoo Doll”. After 6 months of their first regular album, “Voodoo Doll”, Vixx released their 4th single album “Eternity”. “Eternity” is showing a sad and heartrending story but having opposite performance.

In 2014, October, Vixx had changed concept to Cyborg which is second mini-album title song “Error”. They had included powerful cyborg and the sad love story in the music

video.

N is a leader of VIXX.

His name is Cha Hak-Yeon and he was born on June 30th, 1990. N is a leader, lead vocal and

main dancer.

Leo is same age with N.

His name is Jung Taek-Woon and was born on November 10th, 1990. Leo is a main vocal of

VIXX.

Ken is the third youngest member in VIXX . His name is Lee Jae-Hwan and was born on April 6th, 1992. Ken is the main vocal of VIXX.

Ravi is the fourth youngest member in VIXX. His name is Kim Won-Sik and was born on

February 15th, 1993. Ravi is the main rapper and lead dancer in VIXX.

Hongbin is same age with Ravi. His name is Lee Hong-Bin and was born on

September 29th, 1993. Hongbin is the sub vocal and lead rapper in VIXX.

Hyuk is the youngest member in VIXX. His name is Han Sang-Hyuk and he was born on July 5th, 1995. Hyuk is the sub vocal and lead

dancer.

2015 Pan American Games Lewis Moon

The 2015 Pan American Games is the 17th Pan American Games, and it is

scheduled to be held from July 10 to July 26, 2015 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

356 sports in 36 events will be held. Approximately 6,058 athletes and 41 nations

will be participating.

This Pan American Games will become the first complete, eco-friendly

operated games, because it’ll be fully carbon neutral. This game will be the largest

multi-sport event ever to be held in Canada (in term of athletes competing). The

motto of the 2015 Pan American is “United we play.”

Toronto was selected as the host city of 2015 Pan American by the Pan

American Sport Organization on November 6, 2009. This Pan American Games will

be the 3rd Pan American Games scheduled in Canada. The first one was the 1969

Pan American Games, the 2nd was the 1999 Pan American Games, and it was

both held in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The Opening/Closing Ceremony will be opened

in Rogers Centre (Sky Dome). CBC and ICI Radio-Canada Télé will broadcast the

2015 Pan American.

The 2015 Para Pan American Games will be held in Toronto after the 2015

Pan American Games on August 7 to August 14, 2015. Approximately 1,500

athletes will be participating. 336 sports in 15 events will be held, the

Opening/Closing Ceremony of the 2015 Parapan American Games will be opened

in Rogers Centre (Sky Dome).

Hayao Miyazaki was born on January 5th, 1941 he is a

Japanese film director, animator, manga artist, illustrator, producer,

and screenwriter.

Hayao Miyazaki Movie:

The Castle Of Cagliostro (1979)

A film about a few bandits who attempt rescuing a princess from an

evil Count. Miyazaki’s first film really made an impression among

moviegoers. Steven Spielberg called it the greatest adventure film

ever made

Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind (1984)

The first ever Studio Ghibli film, and you can see why. This film was Hayao’s second film ever. The

epic story revolves around a young woman, Nausicaä, as she desperately tries to protect a race of

giant insects from enemy soldiers. The film’s setting takes place 1000 years in the future, in a dying

world. Forests are inhabited by deadly insects with poisonous air.

Castle in the Sky (1986)

Castle in the Sky, considered an epic itself, is the second Studio Ghibli film. It tells the story of a

young princess, Laputa, who wears a magical necklace that has the ability to lead people towards

the legendary flying castle in the sky. Laputa meets a young boy, Pazu, who joins her as he too

searches for the legendary castle, but pirates and agents get in their way.

My Neighbor Totoro (1988)

Possibly the most memorable of all Hayao Miyazaki’s films. My Neighbor Totoro is the story of two

young girls who move to the country side. The girl’s soon find a giant bunny-like spirit called Totoro.

Together, they have amazing adventures as Totoro reveals his magic abilities, most notably growing

trees.

Kiki's Delivery Service (1989)

This film is about a young witch who leaves her home and parents to train on her own for a year. All

witches are required to have a profession, and she decides to start a delivery service – using her

magical flying broomstick, of course.

Porco Rosso (1992)

Porco Rosso, a war veteran who happens to be a humanoid pig, lives his life as a pilot who duels

with pirates and people jealous of his fame

Princess Mononoke (1997)

The story involves a young man, cursed with a an animal demon’s scar that will kill him. He leaves his

village, hoping to find a cure as he gets caught in a war between animal and man. He meets a girl,

San, who happens to believe she is a wolf and despises humans.

Spirited Away (2001)

A magical, fun, haunting, poignant, amazing, compelling tale of a young girl who gets trapped in a

world of spirits after her parents get caught eating food presented to the spirits.

Howl’s Moving Castle (2004)

Another one of Miyazaki’s newer films, Howl’s Moving Castle is an epic tale of a young girl cursed by

a witch and turned into an old woman. While entering the realm of witches and wizards, she enters

Howl’s mysterious moving castle. Inside, she’s taken on all new adventures, and at the same time,

she attempts to make herself young once again.

Ponyo (2008)

Though Miyazaki’s newest film is not his best, which is, in all honesty, not saying much at all. Ponyo

is a beautifully drawn animated film, with amazing visuals that improved over his other films. It’s a

story about a young boy who finds a humanoid goldfish, who really attempts to be a human girl.

Today I am going to introduce to you the

movie called “The maze runner”. It is a movie that

you can feel suspense and excitement. If you like to

see scary movies, this is a movie that I want to

recommend.

The beginning is quite mysterious. It starts in a

dark elevator. There is the main character named

Thomas. He doesn’t have any memories, such as his

name. After he gets his memory back, he is always

full of curiosity.

One day, he went inside the maze to help Minho and Alby. By the time the

maze was closing, Minho was in front of the end of the maze with Alby but they

were stung by the Grievers (the monsters). I will stop here, because I might spoil

the movie. Just remember, the moral of the movie is “Wicked (the name of the

group in the movie) is doing a good thing”. Other important characters to look for

are Teresa, Chuck, Newt and Gally.

If you have time it will be a good choice to watch this movie.

Mine craft is very popular game in the world. It is one of the top 5 famous games in the world!

We can play in pc, Xbox 360 edition and cellphones. There are lots of youtuber that share their knowledge and entertainment using mine craft like Stamp, Sky does mine craft, and Alia!(we can see lots of videos in YouTube!!) There are lots of recreated scenes and mods from movies in Mine craft, like Hunger game, Tag, and World War.

In mine craft we can build structures and fight with mobs.

There is some of mine craft scary story and funny story!!

This is the game for both kids and adults!!

We can play with lots of peoples like more than 1000 people in same time.
