Community Development May 2013 Lloyd Media Group hired to produce a full array of media tools for CBI CBI is in the process of producing three new videos, PSA’s and social media messaging all scheduled for completion on June 30 th . As we approach National Recovery Month in September, CBI is planning to make our mark to highlight our ongoing Celebrate ~ Believe ~ Inspire (CBI) awareness campaign. Video 1: Celebrate ~ Believe ~ Inspire- CBI peer support specialists share their personal experiences, strength and hope. This video was developed with the potential patient and family member in mind along with inspiring messages that recovery is possible and we can help. Video 2: When the Prescription Becomes the Problem- Dr. Scarpati, Dr. Sucher and Colleen Feeney take a look at the unintential dependence on opiate prescription medications and addiction defined as a disease. The Unscript program is highlighted to reach out to patients, family/significant others, businesses, faith community and medical community. Video 3: Center for Hope- This project will be a powerful story produced using only music and signs. Center for Hope alumni and staff will communicate a powerful message about how CFH has been changing women’s lives, building strong families and new beginnings since 2005. New Fan Page Launched! Connect with Center for Hope AZ on Facebook! CBI continues to grow our fan base with more than 15,000 page views each month! Now Center for Hope AZ has a dedicated page where we will regularly post news, events, success stories, community resources and real time program updates. Media Spotlight Center for Hope was featured in AZ Real Estate magazine and The Arizona Republic for post event coverage of the Open House event held on May 23 rd, 2013. Another milestone reached as we celebrate the opening of our third fourplex for women transitioning from Center for Hope to permanent supportive housing.

Mesa Prevention Alliance- Public Information & Social Marketing Strategies Larry John Wright is the contracted PR agency supporting the Mesa Prevention Alliance through June 20th, 2013. The

following marketing projects for the Alliance are now complete:

Safe Home Pledge magnets and window clings

.000 Party Sober t-shirts

Door hangers to raise awareness about Mesa Party Patrols

YouTube video highlighting the Above the Influence event held in April.

Channel 11 is now regularly running an interview about the Mesa Prevention Alliance that is reaching 270,000

views per month.

We also continue to advertising Visibility in the East Valley Tribune Best Of ad- Party Patrol (distributed to 108,910

homes and 20,054 online banner impressions).

Advertising on the East Valley Tribune website with over 50,000 impressions per month,

East Valley Tribune ran an article on the Above the Influence event. (45789)

Party Patrol Movie theatre ad ran for six weeks (April and May with approx. 424,000 views).

Community Education May 2013

CBI provides community education and training for emergency responders, community partners, law enforcement, schools and the criminal justice system. The focus of our workshops presented an overview of agency services, signs and symptoms of drug use and emerging drug trends.

The following Education & Training workshops were provided during the month of May:

450 high school freshmen at Cactus Shadows in Cave Creek learned about drug risks and behaviors during an assembly on Wednesday, May 1st

Over 1,000 6th, 7th and 8th graders at Centennial Middle School in the Kyrene District learned about drug risks and behaviors during an assembly on Friday, May 3rd

40 UMOM staff members learned about synthetic drugs such as bath salts and spice and the harmful effects and resources at a training on Monday, May 6th

30 Magellan providers learned about synthetic drugs such as bath salts and spice and the harmful effects and resources at a training on Tuesday, May 7th

40 Gilbert police officers learned about synthetic drugs and the effects at a training at Gilbert PD on Wednesday, May 8th

35 Tempe Alternative High School teens learned about drug risks and behaviors on Monday, May 13th

35 Anthem Daisy Mountain Firefighters learned about synthetic drugs, behaviors and resources at 2 trainings on Thursday, May 30th
