No Shame No Gain
Criminals who commit crimes are a nuisance to the public. Public
felt disturbed and is annoyed. It is time for these culprits to get
what they deserved. So that they can understand how the victims
feel. There is a list of crimes that are committed in Malaysia such
as snatch thefts, illegal racing and sexual assault. As an effect
to all these crimes, the police department came up with several
ways to remind these crime offenders from committing a crime again
in the future.
Snatch theft is the act of forcefully stealing an item from a
pedestrian without the attention from the person. Snatch thieves
are common in Malaysia a few years ago and this act was spreading
fast throughout the country. So the police decided to teach them a
lesson. These snatch thieves are to sweep the streets while wearing
sign revealing their crime.
Illegal racers are also a common disturbance in Malaysia. Once
the sky gets dark, herds or bikers will conquer the roads. The
police received a lot of complaints from the annoyed residents. So
the plan was to nab these bikers and make them push their vehicles
all the way to the main police station.
As for the sex offenders, there was an incident where a sex
offender was stripped and was forced to perform squats in the
prison cell. Another effective solution was that the sex offenders
are to receive public caning.
All the effects of public shaming are to create humiliation
among the offenders so they will feel guilty and stop them from
doing evil. So the next time they think of committing a crime, they
will remember the consequences that happened to them the last
time.
No Shame No GainIn this earth, at every single second, there is
sure to be an act of crime about to happen. No matter how serious
or how small the crime is, it is still an act against the law and
these sly criminals always seem to find their way through to commit
more crimes every time. In a prolonged time, the crime rate has
risen to a frightening number and has made the public afraid from
stepping out from their compound. In addition, it has also annoyed
the public as we want revenge on these culprits. There is a list of
crimes that are committed in Malaysia at a certain period a few
years ago, such as snatch thefts, illegal racing, sexual assaults,
and many more. As an effect to all these crimes, the police were
working on a plan to curb all these worrisome crime to make the
country a safer place. Firstly, a snatch theft is the act of
forcefully stealing an item from a pedestrian without the attention
from the person. There are two types of thieves or muggers, one
performs alone while another works in pairs. Usually the snatch
thieves who work in pairs will use a motorcycle in the aid of their
crime. For instance, the first person will steer the bike while the
pillion rider will mug public items. Most of the time, once the
culprits commits the crime, the public will go all out in trying to
stop the thieves because the police will not be able to get to the
scene on time. So as a lesson, the police decided to make these
thieves sweep the streets while wearing a sign saying I Am a Snatch
Thief. As an effect, these muggers will feel ashamed and
humiliated.Next is the illegal racing which is also a common
disturbance in Malaysia. Illegal racing is where teenagers will
race down the streets or highway with their modified motorcycles
creating a nuisance to the public who are trying to sleep. These
vehicles will emit lots of noise and furthermore, these teenagers
usually conquer the roads once the sky gets dark. Not only do they
race, they will also perform dangerous act on the bike while moving
for instance the infamous Superman. This not only poses risk on the
rider but also on other road users at night. As a result, the
police forces plan was to nab these bikers and make them push their
vehicles all the way to the police station. Other than that, the
police will also confiscate the vehicles from them.Next is the
sexual assault, the crime that females and children fear the most.
A lot of steps to prevent this crime have been taken by the police;
however, the sexual offenders kept coming back for more. So the
decision was to give these offenders public caning. Not only will
they be humiliated but also receive the pain in their bottoms as
well.All the effects of public shaming are to create humiliation
among the offenders so they will feel guilty and stop them from
evil. So the next time when they think of committing a crime, they
will remember the consequences that happened to them the last time.
In a nutshell, no pain no gain.
