SWITCH FUSE COMBINATION 22 KV - 630A INDOOR

I. SCOPE :

This specification shall be applicable to 22 KV - 630 A indoor switch - fusecombination used for transformer protection .

II. STANDARDS OF MANUFACTURE AND TEST :

- IEC 420 : High voltage alternating current switch - fuse combinations- IEC 282-1 : High voltage fuses-back-up fuses

III. DESCRIPTION :

The switch - fuse combination is functional assemblies of switch and fusebase.

1. Switch :

- Type : Single contact vertical break.- The three pole of disconnecting switch must be fixed on a rectangular

frame.- The switch is manufactured as a 3 pole unit equipped with arcextinguishers for load break operation .- The switch can be gang - operated manually by an operating lever andoffers the characteristic of the switching speed independent of theoperating speed.

- The switch will be triggered by the striker at one cap of each fusecartridge when the fuses are blown.- The insulators are forming a right angle with a frame.

2. Fuse base :- The fuse base shall be designed to provide accommodation for 03 HRCfuses and a guarantee of safety fixing against influence of vibrations orshock .- The fuse base shall be suitable for use with 24KV HRC fuse cartridge typewhich are manufactured on IEC 282-1

Rated cut off current of 24KV HRC fuse cartridge : 40 KA- The fuse base shall be designed under the switch ( front view)

3. Frame of switch and fuse base :

- The switch and fuse base have one prefabricated frame together.- The frame shall be provided with a reliable earthing terminal having aclamp screw or bolt for connection of earthing copper conductor up to50mm2.

- Rated lightning impulse withstand voltage+ To earth and between pole : 125 KV+ Across the isolating distance : 145 KV

- Number of breaking operation of switch at full load : > 20 oper.

- Number of operating cycles (C-O) of switch at no load : 2000oper.- Insulators : Polymer- Minimum creepage distance : 12.5 mm/KV

5. Dimension of switch and fuse base :

- Maximum width of the frame (side view) : 1050mm- Maximum length of linkage rod between three phases : 1100mm

6. Accessories :

- Manual operating mechanism, complete with 2.5m linkage rod anddetachable lever, suitable for installation in the right side of disconnectingswitch (front view)- 06 connectors for copper conductor up to 240mm2.

IV. TESTING REQUIREMENT :

1. Testing items :

a. Routine test :- Power frequency withstand dry tests on the main circuit- Measurement of the resistance of the main circuit- Mechanical operating test

b. Type test :- Dielectric tests- Temperature rise tests- Measurement of the resistance of the main circuit- Short time withstand current and peak withstand current tests- Making and breaking current test

- Behavior of the combination during test- Test on the mechanism

2. Requirements :

In order to ensure the quality of supplied goods, in case of bid winning ,the Tenderer shall supply routine test and copies of type test report met thefollowing requirements:

a. Routine test shall be performed for each equipment.

b. Type test report shall be approved by an lawful, reputable,independent testing laboratory with the following content :

- Testing sample : The same as the supplied item (manufacturer,original country, manufactures code as specified in tender document).

- Testing items : Including testing items as specified in SectionIV.1 of this specification.

- Testing values shall be corresponding values as stated in Section IIIof this specification. If in section III, there are no corresponding values,testing values will be selected according to the standard specified insection II of this specification.

V. REQUIREMENT OF TENDER TECHNICAL DOCUMENT :

- Technical description, data sheets, catalogues and other materialsubmitted with the quotation must enable the buyers engineers tothoroughly evaluate the proposals as to its compliance with the inquiryspecifications.

- Minimum requirements :+ Detailed summary of deviations to inquiry specification+ Completed inquiry data sheet expressed at section VI+ Catalogues containing outline dimensions and electrical data.+ Certificate of quality management.

- The proposal bidding has Type Test Report which meets the requirementsas specified in item IV 2.b will be preferable .
