65Standard DesignsThe standard range of Juliet Balconies offers three classic balconydesigns available to choose from.

Standard SizesCatnic standard range of Juliet Balconies are available in widthincrements of 100mm from 1200mm to 3000mm. As a generalguideline to determine the size of balcony required take the clearopening width and add 300mm and select the next availableincremental width.

For example:1) Clear opening 1350 mm

2) Add 300mm 1650 mm

3) Actual balcony size 1700 mm

FinishAll Juliet Balconies are fully submerged in azinc bath after manufacture, to BS EN ISO1461:1999, fully protecting every surface, cutedge and weld with a metallurgically bondedzinc coating. In addition a black powdercoated finish is available on request.

Bespoke DesignsCatnic can manufacture bespoke JulietBalconies from customers drawings. To discussyour requirements please contact Catnictechnical services on 029 2033 7900.

InstallationDepending on the wall construction, balconiescan generally be face fixed to the external leafof the building using 4 masonry fasteners*(not included). All balconies (unless otherwisespecified) incorporate pre-drilled fixingbrackets suitable for M12 masonry fasteners.

A balcony that is 300mm wider than the clearopening will have a minimum distance of139mm from the centre of the fixing to theedge of the clear opening. The requiredminimum edge distance for the fixing willdepend on the fixing type/wall constructionand should be checked by a structural engineer.
