Give it a try! :Propose new DS Design dedicated Solution to famous French
DesignSchools ISD, Strate College Designers, ENSCI-Les Ateliers, as analternative solution to the 3D software in place.
Objectives:Open students to a creative approach in 3D Demonstrate CATIA value for conceptual design Develop awareness through the Design Community
How?5 to 10 students in their 4th year to create 3D concepts with CATIA Design-dedicated SolutionsDuration: 4 weeks minimumContent defined with professors, in a learning spirit for students and for them

Bring 3D for allDemonstrate ease of use, creativity / innovation capabilities of
CATIA
Partnering to enhance and develop New CATIA Design solutions coverage & usability
Widen the number of Design Schools to adopt CATIA Design-dedicatedSolutions for their cursus
Initiate strong contacts inside the Design CommunityIncrease CATIA Design Solutions and DS awareness in new domains

Strate Collège Designers:
3 project Teams, for 3 applications developed in Space Design world 7 students + 1 prof involved,
Strate Collège staff enthusiastic about CATIA potential for Designers
Part of the students decided to use CATIA V5 for their 5th yearmain graduation project

ISD Valenciennes:
2 projects Teams 8 students + 2 Teachers identified, with a focus on Transportation Design2 Sport Cars Concepts developed in a global approach, starting fromconsumers expectations
Training session started end of November 2007, and project review done in February 2008
Creations are clearly there, and will be used for a secret project rolled-out at the 2008 Paris Motorshow.

ENSCI:
6 students, with a more artistic shape-driven approachstudents + 2 profs trained
Professors made special recommendations to their Students: take acomplete discovery approach of the Solutions, with a focus on Imagine
&Shape virtual clay Modeling.Start to create shapes, taking advantage of the system specific characteristics to invent something which should be different fromeverything known, leaving the system influence.Then, imagine what could be the most adequate usage of the resultingshapes
Very creative results, with interesting outputs such as Tableware elements, a chair range, water taps, jewels…

International Design Schools Network:Cumulus networkPforzheim: on-going workshop until Feb 09, focus on sports mobilityPotential actions with Detroit CCS, Pasadena Art CenterContact established with Kuwasawa in Tokyo, Kookmin in Seoul, Contact with HK Design dept within Polytechnics University
Take advantage of DS existing Academy network, and encourage students to add CATIA skills to their resume.This represents additional value for them to find the job they are
dreamingabout.
