The best gift you could give your child is the gift of education; many parents believe that you cannot go wrong with a Catholic education, while other parents enjoy the convenience of a local public school.

Task

• Mr. and Mrs. Cook have just moved to Port Washington. They have two children, Michelle who is 8 and Tommy who is 5. Mr. and Mrs. Cook had no problem deciding where to move, but they are having a hard time deciding which school to send their children to. Mr. Cook attended his local public school when he was a child and wants his children to have to same experience as him. But Mrs. Cook attended Catholic school for 15 years and has always dreamed of sending her children to a Catholic School.

Process

• If you use power point, have at least 3 slides for each pro and con of public

schools and catholic schools

• You can plan the diagrams anyway you want, the more colors

the better!

•Assemble together a team of high school teenagers. Help The Cook

Family make their decision by creating a presentation highlighting

the pros and cons of both public and Catholic school. You can do power point or a diagram. You

must present your webquest to the class.
