Palm Sunday
Our Lenten journey climaxes in this celebration of Holy Week. Our liturgy begins with Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem, but the reading of the Passion invites us to walk with Jesus through suffering and death as well. God’s prom-ise is fullness of life, but often we cling instead to the empty promises of life that the world offers: power, fame and mate-rial wealth. To what must we die in order to live more fully with Christ and to share his life?

From Ashes to Easter With the Lord there is mercy and fullness of redemption. We can help make things new with small, yet joyful sacrifices. The works of mercy are charitable actions by which we come to the aid of our neighbor. With continued generosity to the Ashes to Easter Lenten Mission Campaign, local missionaries are able to instruct, advise, console and comfort the poor in the mission areas they serve. Please be generous.
Special Collection on Good Friday, April 14 The annual collection to support Christians in the Holy Land will be taken up on Good Friday. Our contributions will assist the Franciscan friars and others in housing and feeding the poor, providing religious formation and education, maintaining shrines and parishes, and conducting pastoral ministry in the Holy Land. The annual Good Friday Collection is a pontifical collection requested by the Holy Father and offers a way for all of us to help maintain a Christian presence in the Holy Land. Please be generous.
