Week 28—Whoa! I’ve had trouble with my balance, but it’s getting better. I’m going to be in my first Life Chain today. The cars may not notice me, but my mom will. Not much room to wave in here, but my eyes are opening, so I will practice blinking at everyone. Thomas weighs about 2 pounds. Mom’s talking about different names for me. How about Thomas? “Come, let us sing joyfully to the Lord; cry out to the rock of our salvation.” (Psalm 95:1)

“ When the Holy Rosary is said well, it gives Jesus and Mary more glory and is more meritorious than any other prayer.” ~Saint Louis de Montfort

We are blessed to have welcomed into the Church this past September the following: Eliana Torres, Kelsey Torres, Robert Holmes, Logan Holmes, Samuel Holmes and Kai

Holmes and our community also witnessed the Marriage of Sheri and Connor Jennings. Let us pray for all of them and asked their prayers for all of us

  • BEARING THE RIGHT KIND OF FRUIT Today's readings focus our attention on vineyards. Isaiah's song concerning his friend's vineyard begins with inspiring and poetic images of an idyllic vineyard where the choicest harvest is expected. Instead, the vineyard yields wild grapes, which causes the owner to abandon it. The psalmist cries out to God, asking that God once again take care of the vineyard, which is the house of Israel. The parable told in today's Gospel offers a stern warning that those who commit treachery in the hopes of attaining personal wealth will be "put . . . to a wretched death" (Matthew 21:41). Jesus warns his listeners not to act like the murderous tenants in the vineyard. Instead he exhorts them to produce the kind of fruit that will lead them to the kingdom of God. Copyright (c) J. S. Paluch Co., Inc

    REFLECTION

First Reading—The vineyard of the LORD is the house of Israel (Isaiah 5:1-7). Psalm—The vineyard of the Lord is the house of Israel (Psalm 80). Second Reading—God's peace will guard your hearts and minds (Philippians 4:6-9). Gospel—The kingdom of God will be given to those who will produce its fruit (Matthew 21:33-43)

    Oct. 8, 1937 - Oct. 8, 2016To my loving wife on her

    first anniversary in Heaven!

My tears can’t build a stairwayAnd my memories not a lane

If they could, I’d run to HeavenAnd bring you home again

I know this is impossible,So I keep you in my heart

God knows I’ll forever love you,Even though we are apart

The day they took you from my armsAnd hung a wreath upon my door

It left me with a broken heartThat will remain forever more

I know you’re waiting for meWith open arms at Heaven’s door

When I’m called,I’ll take you in my arms

    We’ll be together evermore

When God called you to himHe knew you needed rest

So while you’re waiting for me there,in his arms, I’d pray you are at rest
