Mother and Daughter Movie Night On August 14th, The Family Life Ministry is planning a Mother-Daughter, (or Grandmother/Granddaughter, Aunt/Niece, etc.), movie night for girls ages 7 and above. It will be in the parish hall, at 6PM. We will provide pizza, popcorn, drinks, and a wonderful movie about St. Therese of Lisieux. We

encourage everyone to bring their favorite pillows, blankets, and/or sleeping bags to cuddle up with during the movie. Face masks will be mandatory during this event. If you are able to join us, please sign up on the sheet in the back of the church so that we can plan food and drinks accordingly. Fr. Joseph in residence at St. Ambrose: Let us

welcome Fr. Joseph Kuhlman who will be living at the Rectory at St. Ambrose with Fr. Steven. Fr. Joseph will be the new assistant to the Comunita Cenacolo (in English: Cenacolo Community) and also assisting at the Shrine of Our Lady of La Leche in St. Augustine. He will have an office at the Shrine. His salary is paid by the Diocese. Fr. Joseph is in residence only at St. Ambrose, which will be a great blessing for Fr. Steven to have a housemate.

The office of MYYAM invites all youth, 13-17 years old, to participate in a “Day of Reflection” activity led by

young adults and ministry leaders. This event is based on the Hispanic retreat “Experiencia Cristo.” The mission is to provide a conversion tool to encourage youth to accept Jesus into their lives and to have an active participation in the church. This event will be held at Marywood Retreat Center (Camp. St. Johns, 235 Marywood Dr., St. Johns, 32259) on August 29. Lysol Disinfectant Spray St. Ambrose could use your help if you're out shopping, and you see Lysol Spray on the shelves. If you see disinfectant Lysol spray in the stores, would you be able to purchase some for the Church. Please keep your receipt, and we would reimburse you for the product. We have been blessed to be able to find disinfectant. We need the disinfectant to disinfect the Church between Masses. Thank you for your help!

Learning about becoming Catholic - RCIA

Do you or someone you know have questions about the Catholic faith but are not yet Catholic? Have you wondered about Church teachings, history, the mass, scripture, or the sacraments? We will be starting up our RCIA classes this fall (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults). This is a process to learn about what it means to be Catholic, and if you feel called, this will be the process to eventually become Catholic. It is also available for those who were baptized Catholic but did not complete their sacraments. We are not here to pressure, just to inform. If you are interested please contact the office or David Allen at [email protected]

Religious Education Final Registration Date FINAL Religious Education registration drive is August 8/9 after Mass. Parishioners are encouraged to sign up their children. All children are welcome: public and private school attendees and home schoolers. We have teaching positions available. Please consider giving your time and imparting our treasured faith in this important ministry.
