▪ Interim Program Director of the Primary Care Adult Gerontology and Adult Gerontology with Oncology Specialty Programs, 2018- ▪ In order to implement administrative changes in the primary care nurse
practitioner programs I assumed the role of interim program director for these two programs. Responsibilities are the same as that described below for the FNP program director.
▪ Program Director of Family Nurse Practitioner Program, July 1, 2010-July 1, 2018 ▪ After 8 successful years in this position I stepped aside to allow another faculty
the opportunity to direct the FNP program. While in this position, I was responsible for reviewing all completed applications for admission to the FNP Program, developing program plans for their courses, and providing academic

advising for all FNP students. This is the largest MSN program which averages approximately 100 students per semester. In addition to developing an individual plan of study for each student, revising these plans as needed for academic progression issues and leaves of absence is a regular occurrence. The program director is also responsible for clinical placements and oversight of clinical experience and progression.
▪ An additional role has been leading orientation for faculty new to teaching NP Primary Care Courses (GNUR 409, GNUR 409A, GNUR 514, MSN 449, GNUR 517, MCN 420), as well mentoring new full-time faculty and a new program director. Recruitment, orientation, and mentoring of part-time adjunct faculty to teach in the primary care NP clinical course, GNUR 517, has been ongoing.

Responsibilities include: Guiding and assisting 25 faculty department members with professional development and opportunities for career advancement, including seeking tenure and promotion. The Department Chair conducts an annual evaluation of each faculty member and works with faculty to determine and assign course teaching workload.
