Catfish soapbox Sagar

Catfish the tv show season 4 started a couple of weeks ago and I love watching it.

I don’t think it is right to catfish anyone because a lot of people talk to other

people over the internet not knowing that they could be talking to a catfish and

it’s just wrong to lie about your picture, like if you lie about something that big,

what else could the person be lying about. People should get the hint that they

could be talking to a possible catfish when something isn’t right, such as , they

only have one picture on their okcupid profile, or they don’t want to video chat

you or even talk on the phone. But then again, some catfishes have an okay

reason to why they catfish people, for example maybe they get bullied and

wanted to escape reality so they used a picture of an attractive person to feel

wanted and get compliments since they don’t in real life. I got catfished a couple

of years and I didn’t really spot the red flags like how she forgot her password for

her fb account when you can easily change your password when I asked if I can

add her on fb and when didn’t want to video chat even though I knew her phone

had a front camera. But in the end, I wasn’t really upset that she did that because

she kind of had a valid reason why she catfished me and that was because she

was struggling with her weight.
