Exposition

• Katniss comes back home after winning The Hunger Games with Pitta

• The two go on the Victory Tour and uprisings start throughout all the districts

Rising Action

• The government takes control of Katniss and do everything they say

• They send Katniss the the Hunger Games again

• The 75th hunger games send 2 from each district from all past hunger game winners

Climax

• Katniss and Pitta are 2 of about 8 people left in the games

• All of the sudden Haymitch (who is a past winner from district 12, and their games mentor) breaks in with others and captures Katniss

• They tell her there have been many more uprisings and they start to take her to District 13 with the other games competitors

Falling Action

• There is no falling action or resolution, the book is a complete cliff hangover to be continued in the next book. And I’m gonna go crazy until the next book comes out!

Setting

• Catching Fire takes place in the future country of Panem

• Katniss lives in District 13, but on the tour they visit all 12 districts

• The Hunger Games takes place in a Dome created by the capital with crazy species of plants and animals everywhere

Human Rights

• The capital of Panem takes away human rights from the citizens

• They make everyone in each district work the same job and everyone is poor

• Human rights are all the rights and freedom that every person alive has, or should have

• The UN made a list of 30 human rights

Sunday Bloody Sunday

On January 30, 1972, British soldiers opened fire on civilians in Derry, Ireland during a civil rights march.

14 were killed and others wounded.

This was know as Bloody Sunday.
