Titanic-DNALimited edition

From the incarnation of a legend

to the rebirth of an era...

Titanic-DNA is an exclusive and original collection

inspired by the legendary Titanic, which

disappeared under the waves of the North

Atlantic in 1912.

Romain Jerome pays tribute to the

famous liner by infusing these

timepieces with part of the Titanic

legend.

Th e oxidized steel of the bezel is

the result of an extraordinary blend

of authentic steel from the wreck,

3840 metres under the sea, and steel

provided by the Harland & Wolff

shipyard in Belfast, where the Titanic

was built nearly a century ago.

Th e hands are inspired by the Titanic’s

anchor, and turn on a deep black dial

obtained through the use of coal taken from

the legendary wreck.

Th e design of the small seconds hand at 9 o’clock is

reminiscent of the counters of the ship’s steam turbines.

Rust

Th e glory of the passing of time...

«Rust» has always been the watchmaker’s enemy;

the main preoccupation of the industry in

general is to protect materials from oxidation,

the visible proof of time’s hold on matter.

Th e master watchmakers of Romain

Jerome have developed a Rust stabili-

zation procedure, which protects

oxidized timepieces from further

corrosion.

Th e collection presents various levels

of oxidation, with unique fi nishes:

the rusted steel T-oxy II with the least

oxidized bezel, the T-oxy III extreme

rust for an even more authentic

appearance and the T-oxy IV ultimate

rust, with a ravaged design illustrating

the fi nal level of oxidation possible before

decomposition.

A certifi cate of authenticity from the Harland

& Wolff naval shipyard attesting to the origin of

the Rust is included with each oxidized piece of the

Titanic-DNA collection.

creations, giving them a palpable emotional character… and a soul.

Romain Jerome has adorned the timepieces

in its Titanic-DNA collection with rust, the

inestimable value of which is derived from the

source of its legendary DNA: the Titanic.

Th e extraordinary fusion between the

authentic steel from the wreck of the

Titanic and that supplied by the

Harland & Wolff shipyards in Belfast,

where the liner was built, was carried

out by a foundry in Liverpool, DG

Merseyside Castings.

Two metals separated by a century of time

and an ocean of history, brought together by the commitment of

a watchmaking company and the skills of a handful of specialists.

Several tons of the precious metal bearing the seal of the Harland &

Wolff shipyards have been certifi ed by a deed drawn up by a notary.

The stone that burns…

After being used for thousands of years

by mankind, coal – its chemical name

‘graphite’ – has found its most noble

application at Romain Jerome.

A first in watchmaking, Romain Jerome’s

master watchmakers use a complex and

confidential process to apply coal which

is salvaged from the Titanic shipwreck,

dust onto the dials of its timepieces

thereby giving them a deep, dark hue and

a charred texture.

White Star TourbillonA watchmaking jewel

The most sophisticated and finest expressionof High Watchmaking and Jewellery

For the fi rst time in the history of watchmaking, Romain

Jerome has taken up the challenge of setting a Tourbillon

carriage with diamonds, so as to celebrate the nobility

and refi nement of this complication.

BNB Caliber 1000RJwith a gem-set

tourbillon carriage

In order to pull

off this technical feat,

Romain Jerome called

on the talents of BNB

Concept for its watch-

making skill, BNB itself

works with top-rated

gem-setters who dared the

challenge to balance the

Tourbillon carriage after

setting very small gems (full-cut

white diamonds with a diameter of

0.4 mm) by hand.

More than a watchmaking creation, the Tourbillon by Romain Jerome

is now a real piece of art !

T-OXY CONCEPTBetween the forbidden and the ephemeral

The T-oxy Concept represents both the culmination of a preposterous idea and the most extreme form of a particularly sophisticated

concept. This exceptional timepiece is a completely rusted high-watchmaking timepiece designed using

non-stabilised rusted steel from the Titanic.

Don’t wear it ! The T-oxy Concept can only be admired under its glass dome filled with

argon. Release it and oxygen will carry on its destructive work where it left off.

Warning: extremely corrosive model, non-guaranteed

World First – An exceptional timepiece that does not indicate the time!

With no display for the hours, minutes or seconds the Day&Night offers a new

way of measuring time, splitting the universe of time into two

fundamentally opposing sections: day versus night.

“RJ One”movement: a double Tourbillon developed exclusively for RJ by BNB Concept.

A new interpretation of Time based around two Tourbillons

operating sequentially, a differential system whose

energy transmission symbolises the passage from one life to another.

The Day Tourbillon operates during the day, defining the wearer’s period of activity, and stops after twelve hours, handing over to the Night Tourbillon dedicated to man’s own private sphere.

An avant-garde approach, that is different and even disturbing.

Surely the ultimate luxury would be to take one’s time ?

timepiece is a variation and interpretation based on

the sea as a symbol personifi ed in Greek mythology by

*Romain Jerome guarantees that the origin of each of these materials is duly certified by a legal document authenticated in Switzerland. Each piece in the Moon Dust-DNA collection will also be accompanied by a certificate from the Association of Space Explorers (ASE) saluting the approach of Romain Jerome and the tribute it is thereby rendering to the conquest of space.

As part of its DNA o f Famous Legends concept, featuring timepieces inspired by and created in tribute to the great legends of our times, the Maison Romain Jerome presents its second exclusive collection, entitled Moon Dust-DNA. Legitimately proud of its Titanic- DNA collection dedicated to the world’s greatest maritime legend, Romain Jerome launches out into space in homage to the most fascinating human adventure of all : the conquest of space.

Moon Dust-DNA embodies this incredible odyssey and features its main protagonists. It honours the symbol of this headlong race, highlighted by confrontation as well as occasional collaboration between the American and Soviet superpowers, whose main aim was to

reach the Moon.

The design of the Moon Dust-DNA collection is inspired by and incorporate the DNA heritage of the great playersand major figures in the conquest of space.

The materials composing the modelsin this collection incorporate authentic fragments from the aerospace universesuch as moon dust as well as fragments of

the Apollo XI and Soyuz spacecraft and the International Space Station (ISS).

Moon Dust-DNA features

• A lunar dial based on a mineral deposit including Moon dust

• A 46 mm steel and titanium case incorpo-rating steel from the Apollo XI spacecraft

• Rusted steel paws including fragments of the Soyuz spacecraft and

• A strap composed of fibres from a spacesuit worn during the ISS mission*.
