Once the different elements of each palo (sing style) learnt the pianist could interpret a specific palo at the piano solo and aswell accompany to basic level, a singer.

The study format is very useful, following the structure for each palo (styles):

Soniquetes and falsetas of each palo are studied by increasing difficulty order, by normal and slow speed.

The soniquetes are the Standards or rhythmical variations used to accompany the sing; giving to the singer a strongrhythmical basis meanwhile he plays different thirds of the theme.

The falsetas are the variations where the singer replies to the guitarist (to the pianist in this case) and where he plays amelody as a soloist before letting sing the singer.

The total structure of each piece is the result of each one of the structures called variations. With the aim of a rhythmicunderstanding of everything in this DVD, on each exercise the following information has been put:

- The “digitación” it is not the only one possible but it is the easiest, according to our experience.

- The harmonica analysis: in each exercise, the different level of each tonality, as the corresponding harmonious. In this way,it’s easier to transport other tonalities.


- In the palos of 12 times (Solea, Bulerias and Alegrias) the number of compas has been added to know in which point thecycle of the palo we are in each moment.

Sabores is a series of flamenco images which combine art, emotions, colours and especially the flavour of good flamenco.

For an hour and a half "Sabores" brushes the limits of the rhythm and melodies of the different “palos” and styles that makeup the range of flavours offered by flamenco and fuse into colourful dance. The dance is made up by ten dancers for the different images. All of which are choreographed and directed by Sara Baras.

Heconfesses his love to Candela but she cannot feel the same in return because José's spirit stands in between them. Followinga witch's advise they dance the "Ritual dance of fire" under a full moon. In the darkness, the spirit appears and the fourcharacters meet to decide their fate.

Saura's first attempt at a musical yielded succesful results. The movie's main theme is Antonio Gades' mythical baile onFederico García Lorca's "Bodas de sangre" and it's latest example. It was the first collaboration between two of the greatnames in Spanish culture, Saura and Gasdes, and it was so succesful that it was the first of a series of collaborations. PlotThere is a wedding celebration in an Andaluz town. The bride is still in love with her old boy-friend, Leonarde. Once thewedding has been consuamted she passionately gives herself and elopes with him. The abandoned groom chases after themand, when he finds them, he challenges Leonardo to a duel with knives in which they both wind up dying. Lorca's tragicpoetry, life's tragic feeling, death and the violence that followes around the men all their lives is reflected in the omen andanguish of the mother, who has lost her husband for a crime and one of her sons for another.

Love, dance and death. These are the three keys to 'El amor brujo'. Carmelo is in love with Candela, whose father hasarranged a marriage with José, according to Gypsy law. José, who even after marriage continues to see his mistress Lucía,dies due to a stabbing shortly after. Carmelo is accused of killing José and spends four years in jail because of it. When hereturns to town, Carmelo horrified watches as Candela dances each night with José's spirit in the place where he wasassasianted. A witch tells Carmelo to dance the dance of fire with Candela, in order to rid of the space that now keeps themappart. Their attempt fails and the only solution is for José's in-life lover to be the same in death.

Plot

It's Gypsy tradition to arrange for marriage since childhood, without having a choice. This 'law' falls on Candela and José.Carmelo, another Gypsy, forever in love with Candela cannot help the ceremony from happening. The time comes for thewedding and even in the party José reinterates to Lucía the love he has for her. José is stabbed and dies and Carmelo ifunfairly sent to jail for four years. Candela, reluctant to admit to his death, goes every night to the place where José died insearch for his spirit. Carmelo does not believe the witchery scenes Candela tells him of when he comes out of jail. Heconfesses his love to Candela but she cannot feel the same in return because José's spirit stands in between them. Followinga witch's advise they dance the "Ritual dance of fire" under a full moon. In the darkness, the spirit appears and the fourcharacters meet to decide their fate.
