CHEmICaL NamE sorbitan fatty acid ester.

CaPabILIty span is synthesifed by fatty acid and sorbitol .span can be used as food additive (gb 2760 - 86). it is varied because of containing different fatty acid. because its harmless.span is lipophilic and nonionic surfactant . Hlb value is 1.8 ~ 8.6 . it can dissolve in the organic solvents.

usEs span is used in food, cosmetics and other industry. it is used in the cake oil, bred quality boosters and kinds of drinks as food additives. it has the function of emulsification, stabilization and frothingspan also is used as emulsifier in oils and fats : for example : whiteruss , silicone oil, fat, synthetic oil etc.. s-60 , s- 65 have the function of emulsification and thickening in the creamed products . s-80, s- 85 can not only emulsify the cream, but also improve the luster .
