The Phosphor Appear watch line skillfully blends design and technology to craft the ultimate fashiontimepiece. Driven by proprietary Micro-Magnetic Mechanical™ Digital (M3D) technology, Appear watches utilize miniature-sized rotors adorned with Swarovski crystals that revolve to reveal numerical or chronological information. With each passing minute, an electrical pulse generates an electromagnetic field that changes the position of the crystals on the face of the watch, while producing a distinctively unique sound.

Inspired by ruggedized, urban street signs, the Men’s Appear watch offers a bold and elegant spin on the traditional fashion watch. The basic “time” mode features a 12-hour display, with the hours positioned above the minutes on the face. The watch face also offers a “seconds” mode and “off” mode, showing an entire face of crystals without the time display.

Phosphor World TimeThe new World Time Curved E Ink digital watch offers the ability to select from 24 time zones for one display mode, while optionally displaying a second time zone simultaneously. The dual time zone display can also be configured to simply display the time of day or both the date and time in either over-sized or conventional-sized segments. These unique capabilities are packaged in a sleek, ultra-thin, curved case only 9.3mm thick. Incredibly versatile, the new World Time gives you an assortment of different functions and display modes.

E Ink TechnologyElectronic ink is a proprietary material that is processed into a film for integration into electronic displays, and used in many popular ebooks today. Revolutionary in concept, electronic ink is a fusion of chemistry, physics and electronics to create millions of tiny microcapsules about the diameter of a human hair. Each microcapsule contains positively charged white particles and negatively charged black particles suspended in a clear fluid that migrates with the application of an electric field to produce an ink-on-paper appearance.

Everyday we see magnetic outdoor signs on buses, train depots or road signs that display fluorescent yellow information on a black background. The Phosphor development team saw these same flip-disc, dot matrix signs but also saw the potential to do much more.
