In 2019, Mesa Tactical will celebrate its 16th year in business. In a decade and a half, our little company changed how American law enforcement agencies equip themselves, producing over 150,000 of our revolutionary SureShell shotshell carriers for agencies large and small, as well as private citizens. We also develop and market some of the highest quality tactical buttstock assemblies, including our LEO stock adapters and Urbino fixed tactical stocks.

While we continue to focus on innovative ideas to enhance the tactical shotgun, including our exciting new Truckee™ forends for the Benelli M4 shotgun (see page 4), this year we have dramatically expanded our attention to encompass the AR-15 rifle and other carbine platforms, with new products and an aggressive new branding, Mesatac™. The Urbino is the first truly tactical stock for shotguns. A shorter LoP is necessary for use in tactical applications, especially with body armor. The Urbino Tactical stock is durable, easy to shoulder, will not slip and increases comfort and control.

Specially-developed SureShell® shotshell carriers can be fitted to the cheek riser (see page 21). Rail-equipped Urbino stocks can be used without the cheek riser. Risers cannot be fitted to stocks that do not have the rails. All Urbino Tactical stocks are made in the USA, and include Benel-li-style rear sling loops for 1¼ inch sling webbing. In addition, a QD style sling swivel is included that fits in a hole in the lower rear of the stock.

URBINO® TACTICAL POCKETSLING ATTACHMENTS

The Urbino Tactical stock system features a molded pocket at the front where the stock meets the shotgun receiver. This pocket is designed to accept any of several stamped steel Sling Loops, Hook Loops or Push Button Sling Swivel mounts (a Hook Loop, Sling Loop and sling plate blank are included with the Urbino Tactical Stock). The Push Button Sling Swivel mount includes a Push Button Sling Swivel, and all sling mounts feature a tough mil-spec manganese phosphate finish. Ambi style sling attachments feature mounts on both sides of the receiver (Ambi and Push Button mounts are not included with the stocks).

LimbSaver slip-on recoil pads feature a patented three-step recoil reduction technology that reduces up to 50% of felt recoil, and maintains target acquisition. They feature a 12 month warranty by LimbSaver. Any Mesa Tactical telescoping stock kit can be upgraded with a Crosshair hydraulic recoil buffer which replaces the receiver extension tube in our stock kits and reduces felt recoil by up to 70%. Purchase either a complete replacement M4 Carbine Stock recoil Additional LimbSaver and standard rubber buttpads for the Urbino Tactical stocks can also be ordered separately.

Takes the place of the receiver extension tube, converting the AR-15 telescoping stock into a recoil-buffered stock assembly without further modification. The recoil buffer reduces up to 70% of felt recoil. Recoil-buffered versions are available for all three of the telescoping stock systems, or the recoil buffer can be purchased separately. The recoil buffer accepts mil-spec dimensioned buttstocks. The Crosshair hydraulic recoil buffer is CNC machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and meets the stringent standards of military and law enforcement users. Our basic kits include the adapter and all necessary installation hardware. No gunsmithing is required for installation.

Mesa Tactical’s Lucy stock adapter dramatically increases the number and type of butt stocks that can be used with 20 gauge Remington 870 shotguns. Attached at the receiver in place of the standard 20 gauge stock, this cast steel adapter enables the use of any 12 gauge Remington 870 stock. With our new Sling Ring shotgun sling mounts, we’ve taken an old idea and made it better. The Sling Ring shotgun sling mount fits between the stock and the receiver of a tactical shotgun, providing a sturdy loop for the fitting of single-point or three-point slings featuring H&K style hooks or Magpul Paraclip™ attach-ment points. Unlike similar sling loops, Mesa Tactical Sling Ring shotgun sling mounts are cast steel, not aluminum nor MIM, and they have no sharp edges to catch on webbing or skin. Our Stock Mount SureShell carriers fit on most Benelli pistol grip fixed stocks. The rugged stamped steel SureShell bracket replaces the stock’s sling loop and mounts four additional shells securely on the side of the stock (does not fit on Benelli M4 stocks, nor will this shell carrier fit on the Urbino Tactical stock). This assembly is also available with an H&K style (dog leash) hook loop opposite the shell carrier instead of the webbing loop.

Urbino Tactical stocks with cheek risers can accept SureShell carriers secured right on to the cheekpieces themselves. As with our other SureShell products, these shell carriers feature all aluminum construction.

SureShell carriers are also available for the M4 CARBINE stock (the kind that we supply with our telescoping stock kits). Offered in four- and six-shell versions, these fit securely to standard M4 CARBINE style stocks from Mesa Tactical as well as other suppliers. Though designed to be installed on the right side of the stock, they can be inverted and installed on the left side if necessary.

While Mesa Tactical’s development focus has long been on the needs of the professional tactical operator, we have nonetheless enjoyed some acceptance in the tactical competition community, especially Three Gun. In response to a long expressed desire from Three Gun competitors for a quick-release version of our popular on-gun shell carriers, we’ve introduced Hook & Loop SureShell carriers.

Hook & Loop SureShell carriers combine our SureShell Polymer carrier yoke with 3M SJ3572 hook fastener material laminated to a 3/32” Formex 94 substrate. This allows Hook & Loop SureShell carriers to be easily attached to and removed from surfaces, such as shotgun receivers and MOLLE vests, covered with mating loop material.

The Hook & Loop SureShell carriers are sold with adhesive backed 3M SJ3571 loop fastener that can be glued directly to a shotgun receiver.

Receiver-mount rails are made to be mounted onto the receivers of Remington, Mossberg, and Benelli shotguns with pre-drilled and tapped mounting holes. These rails can be used with custom drilled and tapped weapons.

Mesa Tactical provides two methods for mounting Picatinny rails to tactical shotguns. For Remington shotguns, we offer the Mesa Tactical Saddle Rail, which mounts to both sides of the receiver and wraps around the top. Top mount rails work with Remington, Mossberg and Benelli shotguns that feature factory tapped rail mounting holes in the top of the receiver.

All Mesa Tactical Picatinny rails are machined from 6061-T6 air-craft quality aluminum, and finished with mil-spec Type III hard anodizing. Mesa Tactical Picatinny rails include all necessary mounting hardware.

The Magazine Clamp can also be used to mount one inch diameter weapon lights simply by clamping one side to the shotgun barrel and the other side to the light body (recommended for use with shotguns with tall front sight posts only).

Our Barrel Clamp offers an accessory mount point for shotguns that do not have extended magazines. Its unique clamping mechanism ensures a secure fit even under recoil.

When Mesa Tactical decided to produce a floating handguard for the AR-15, we wanted to design something that was slim and comfortable and easy for agencies to adopt and in-stall. These were the considerations behind our new line of Mesatac Pyramid aluminum handguards. It doesn’t hurt that they look great, too.

The Pyramid handguards stay slim and smooth and lightweight by eschewing quad rails and instead employing M-LOK™ slots on sides and bottom. M-LOK slots don’t have sharp edges or burrs, and accept Picatinny rail sections where you need them, or specialized light mounts or vertical grips. The barrel nut can be installed without shimming, indexing or timing, so one Pyramid handguard is easy to install while installing multiple handguards in an armory environment is considerably simplified. The longer Pyramid handguards are design to stop just sort of the muzzle device, so muzzle brakes and flash and sound suppressors can be removed and installed without taking off the handguard.

Handguard is machined from 6061-T6 aluminum, with an ASTM A311 steel barrel nut.

MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny accessory rail runs the full length of the top surface.

Industry standard M-LOK slots on sides and bottom can accept Picatinny rail sections as well as other M-LOK mounts and accessories.

Requires removal of FSB and factory barrel nut, and installation of low-profile gas block (not included). Requires specialized armorers’ tools for installation.

Barrel nut does not need to be shimmed, indexed or timed, so installation is simplified, especially on multiple rifles.

- 9½ inch Pyramid handguard covers the carbine gas block. - 12 inch Pyramid handguard covers the mid-length gas block. - 15 inch Pyramid handguard covers a 16 inch barrel up to the muzzle device. - 17 inch Pyramid handguard covers an 18 inch barrel up to the muzzle device.
