GENERAL INFORMATIONThe 16 mm. and 35 mm. films listed on the followingpages are lent under the following conditions whichmust be complied with by the borrowers:

a silent projector. If you have a silent projector, be sureto specify silent films.

5 Date of ShowingFilms are booked for specified dates only. If possiblegive an alternate date, also a second choice of films incase the original selection is not available. Frequently,a request for a loan must be refused because there is novacancy in the film schedule for the exact date specified.If you can allow leeway, say for a week or more andstate that you can use the film on any date within thatperiod, the chances of your request being granted will begreatly increased. Make requests well in advance ofanticipated date of showing.

1 Cost of BorrowingFilms are lent without charge for group showings onlyand are shipped out express collect. As the borrower isexpected to pay the transportation charges one wayonly, films may be returned express collect. Shipmentswill be made by prepaid parcel post when requested, butthey must be returned prepaid. Loans are restricted to NewYork State. The right is reserved to refuse to shipfilms where conditions lead to the belief that they will notbe properly handled or where the size of the audience doesnot justify their use. The films are not intended forhome entertainment and should not be run on toy pro-jectors with or without a motor.

6 Safety FilmAll films listed are cellulose acetate; i.e., the noninflam-mable or safety type. This applies to both the 16 and35 mm. sizes.

2 Damage to Films7 Rewinding Films

A condition of all loans is: The borrower must providea projector which is in good mechanical working orderand an experienced operator who is thoroughly familiarwith'the operation of the projector which is to be used.Damage to films other than normal wear and tear is tobe paid for by the borrower.

Do not make any repairs unless necessary and do notrewind the films after the last showing.

8 Time Required for Showing FilmsRunning time is indicated for each picture.

9 Classification of Films3 Return of Films All film titles are arranged in alphabetical order and are

also indexed by subject on the last page.Motion pictures must be returned immediately after thelast date of use. Do not keep films in your possessionafter the specified dates. Delays in returning shipmentscause disappointment and inconvenience to subsequentborrowers.
