ENERGY SAVING FEATUREThe Amplifier features our ADC (Auto Detection Circuit) that reduces the power Consumption by a significant amount when the Amplifier is not in use.ADC works within 2 milliseconds of receiving an audio signal and the Amplifier will stay on until no Audio Signal is Present. This way, no On/Off Switch

is needed. As soon as Audio is again present the Amplifier will resume operation. After 30 second the Amplifier will go off until activated again.

The Paging/Mixer is designed to work with our RS 485 Multizone Amplifier and both are Controlled using any Control Device.

Each Conrtoller Port can support up to 31 Multizone Devices. If the Controller has Multiple Ports the number of Multizone Devices increase by 31 peradditional Port. For Example: 5 Ports x 31= 155

WHY RS 485?RS 485 Overcomes the length limitation of RS 232. Since most Controllers support RS485 except for, the Crestron QM-RMC thislimitation is overcome by using an external RS 232-RS485 Converter Plug. A typical Unit such as the Moxa is one that is readilyavailable.

PAGING MODESEMERGENCY PAGING WITH OVER-RIDEAllows the User to Overide all Zones allowing Paging to everyone over the Entire System.

INDIVIDUAL OR SELECTIVE PAGING.The User also has the ability to Select which Zones should be paged.

MIXING MODE Controllera are programmed to allow the User to toggle between Paging and Mixer Modes. The Mixer Mode allows the Microphone Input to be mixedwith various Audio Sources connected the the Unit.

USING AN AMPLIER ONLYIn certain Aplications or Zones, Paging may not be a requirement, therefore the Paging Unit can be eliminated, so that Amplifiers can be used on theirown.

COOLING THE EQUIPMENT INSTALLED INSIDE

1. The NB-PLWB comes with a Flat Surface/Wall Mount, allowing the Plenum EquipmentBox to be attached to any Flat Surface or Suspended using our new Hanging Kit.

It's 14” x 14” and almost 5” high allow many different types and sizes of equipment to be installed inside itsextremely Strong Aluminum Interior. For example, some of themany products from Companies such as Crestron®,

AMX ®, Altec Lancing Commstar®, Extron® and all Nigel B Products etc, have been Installation Tested

PLENUM EQUIPMENT BOX MOUNTING OPTIONS Plenum Equipment Boxes can be installed anywhere. The examples belowgive you some idea how flexible the new units are:

THE PLENUM EQUIPMENT BOX WEIGHT CAPACITYThe Box is made from .060" Superior Grade Aluminum and each Mount is made from 16 ga Steel. The Plenum Equipment Box and its Mounts willeasily take a combined weight up to 50 lbs.

We use Conventional Cooling Methods for cooling. The Pole Mount version allows air intake through the bottom of the Pole and exhausts any warm airfrom the Plenum Box through the top of the pole. Slots in the top and bottom of the Flat Surface Mount allow air to pass through the unit. This we callthe Chimney Effect which allows the inside of the Plenum Box to remain cool.

3. The NB-PEBPM Pole Mount Plenum Box attaches to any 1 1/2" Pipe,used to Pole Mount most Projectors.

WIRING AND CABLE ENTRYMore than enough Wiring and Cable Entry and Exits Ports are provided. For the Pole Mount Version, most Cables are run inside the Pole. In addition1 Port is for Power and an additional one is available for other uses. For the Flat Surface Mount/Hanging version, one is used for Power and twoadditional ports are available for connection to 1/2" conduit.

Our new Hanging Kit in conjunction with the NB- PLWB allows the entire Plenum EquipmentBox to be suspended directly above the Projector above the Ceiling Tiles, or anywhere in theCeiling Space when the Cables are attached to a structural Member to NEC Code Requirements.Each Cable is rated up to 65 lbs.

In order to meet NEC and State Code regulations, it is important to understand the main parts of the Code that regulate how equipment and wiring canbe installed in a Plenum or Ceiling Space.NEC ARTICLE 400-8 and 400-8(5)......page 219 of the code states: That Flexible Cords and Cables are not permitted to be run through Walls,Structural ceilings, Suspended Ceilings, or Dropped Ceilings. In addition the revision to 400-8 specifically prohibits these cords being used withoutbeing properly enclosed. Regulations also prohibits the Installation of open Power Outlets in these spaces.

GENERAL NOTES & INSTRUCTIONS A series of eight holes on the Front of the Frame are provided for future units. When installing Nigel B™ Amplifiers and Modules, it will be seen thatone or two Front Panel Screws have to be removed, before attaching the (2) Underneath 440 Screws.1. First remove the top (2) screws from the Amplifier's Front Panel, then using those screws, attach them to the underneath holes.2. Finally replace the Amplifier's "miising" 4.40 Screwswith the supplieid 4.40 1/4" Round Head, attaching them through the appropriate Rack's FrontHoles.

SUPPLIED HARDWARE(4) 10.32 X 1/2" Truss Head Screws are provided with each RackFrame Shelf when attaching the unit to the Rack Rails of any 19" Equipment Rack.Nigel B Amplifiers, Modules and Blanking Panels for installation into the Rack Frame Shelf are supplied with the necessary hardware at the time ofpurchase.

This allows you to fit all 1/4 Rack Nigel B™ Amplifiers and Modules, or any Extron® 1/8 or 1/4 Rack Versa Tools® Modules.You can also add any Custom Made Connecting Panels of your choice.
