The annual Murch Auction plays a key role in providing access and opportunities for our students to enjoy quality field trips, after-school programs, special performances that focus on curriculum connections, equipment for our makerspace, instruments for our newly created band program, and so much more. Without your support, Murch would be a very different experience for our students. I look forward to celebrating with the Murch community on March 16 as we turn back the clock to a 90s Homecoming celebration. Go Mustangs!! Principal Cebrzynski

Dear Families & Friends of Murch, After years of planning, design and construction, we are excited to host Murch’s biggest fundraiser — the annual Auction — in our beautiful school. This year’s “Homecoming” themed Auction perfectly captures the excitement and fun of being able to hold this event in our new school gym. This party with a purpose is the culmination of many years of focusing on our students’ future, and our homecoming to “Old Murch” would not have been possible without the love, support and dedication of our community, family and friends. On behalf of our students and the entire Murch staff, I would like to express our sincere gratitude for the support you have provided and for the many donations individuals and businesses have made to this year’s Auction.
Mr. C
F R O M T H E A U C T I O N C H A I R S
Dear Murch Friends, The annual Murch Auction is our school’s biggest fundraiser to bring together our community and to support the school that we love, while enjoying delicious food, great music and lots of laughs. This year’s festivities promise to be especially exciting as we host the event in our newly renovated school! The “90s Homecoming” theme seems the perfect fit for 2019. As you know, the Murch Auction raises funds for Murch programs, scholarships to students, teacher grants, new technologies and incredible field trips — so many of the extras that help make Murch awesome but aren’t covered by the DCPS budget. The Auction includes a silent and a live component with great items for us to bid on — from class creations to teacher outings to dining and travel experiences. We also offer a unique opportunity to show our unqualified support for Murch’s students and staff by simply raising our “Paddles Up” to donate during the live component. This event would not be possible without the generosity of the entire Murch community. On behalf of the Murch community, students and staff, we are deeply appreciative of the generous individuals and businesses who have donated items for this year’s Auction and of all of the volunteers who worked incredibly hard and dedicated their free time to make this evening a great success for the school and a fun night for us. A HUGE Thank You to all! We look forward to seeing you at the 2019 Murch Homecoming “90s style” on March 16 and to celebrating the many weeks of team work to host this annual event! Cheers! Your 2019 Auction Co-Chairs
