PNI’s The ARC and Hammer Tacker

The ARCA precision router jig for cutting precise radius length circles and arcs in wood and other materials in diameter from 9-1/2" to 50" (146" diameter using 48" extension). The ARC is compact in size yet extremely rigid because of the sliding dovetail and solid 6061 T-6 aluminum construction. The aluminum base has been brushed for appearance, the dovetail hard coat anodized for long wear resistance and the universal mounting plate black anodized. An indexing system has been added for repetitive cuts and hairline adjustments. (Router not included.)

Hammer TackerPNI's professional-quality Hammer Tacker automatically drives T-50 and A-11 type 1/2" crown staples. Eachblow delivers preferred seating of the staples as you fasten a wide range of materials, including roofing felt,

Safety Precautions and WarrantyRead, understand and follow all instructions and warnings inthe instruction manual as well as those provided withrecommended accessories.

1. KNOW YOUR POWER TOOL - Read the owner’s manualcarefully. Learn its applications and limitations as well asthe potential hazards specific for the tool.

2. THE OPERATOR AND ALL OTHER PERSONNEL MUST WEARPROPER EYE AND EAR PROTECTION IN THE WORK AREA -Wear safety goggles at all times (must comply with ANSIZ87.1). Every day eyeglasses must have impact resistantlenses only. Also, wear ear protectors (plugs, muffs)during extended period of operation

3. KEEP WORK AREA CLEAN - Cluttered areas and benchesinvite accidents. Floor must not be slippery due tosawdust.

4. KEEP CHILDREN AWAY - All visitors should be kept a safedistance from the work area.

5. WEAR PROPER APPAREL - Do not wear loose clothing,gloves, neckties or jewelry (rings, wristwatches) thatcould get caught in moving parts. Wear non-slipfootwear. Wear protective hair covering to contain longhair. Roll long sleeves above the elbow.

6. SECURE WORK - be sure tongue and groove of theflooring strips are properly interlocked and secured intoplace before nailing.

7. STAY ALERT - Watch what you are doing. Use commonsense. Do not operate tool when you are tired or whileunder the influence of medication, alcohol, or drugs.

8. ALWAYS INSPECT TOOL BEFORE OPERATING - Tool mustbe inspected prior to use to insure proper use of powersupply. Tool must be inspected to insure proper workingorder. An improperly functioning tool must not be used.

9. KEEP HANDS, FEET AND OTHER BODY PARTS AWAYFROM NAIL EJECTION AREA - Serious injury could occur ifbody parts are not kept away from nail ejection area.

10. ALWAYS ASSUME THE TOOL CONTAINS FASTENERS - Donot activate the tool unless it is placed firmly against thework piece.

11. NO HORSEPLAY - Do not point the tool toward yourselfor anyone whether it contains fasteners or not.

12. NEVER DISENGAGE OR RENDER THE SAFETY INOPERABLE.

13. NEVER TRANSPORT TOOL WHILE DEPRESSING THETRIGGER MECHANISM.

14. DISCONNECT TOOL FROM AIR SUPPLY - When moving the tool to a new location, performing any maintenanceor repair, clearing a jam or tool is unattended.

15. NEVER SERVICE WHILE ATTACHED TO AIR SUPPLY - Always disconnect the tool from the power supply whenservicing or replacing parts.

16. DO NOT USE TOOL IF OPERATING CONTROLS AREINOPERABLE - Do not remove, tamper with, or otherwisecause the tool operating controls to become inoperable.

17. DO NOT OPERATE TOOL WITH SAFETY FEATURES NOTWORKING PROPERLY - Disconnect tool from power sourceif safety trigger or operating controls are not workingproperly.

18. USE ONLY PORTA-NAIL FASTENERS - Use only fastenersrecommended by the manufacturer. Use of otherfasteners may cause serious injury, jamming of tool orimproper operation.

19. USE ONLY PRESSURE - REGULATED POWER SOURCE – Useonly clean, dry compressed air from a pressure regulatedsource. The pressure regulator should never be set toexceed a maximum of 125 psi. For safety, the source musthave a safety relief valve set at 135 psi maximum. Alwaysfollow the manufacturer’s recommendations.

20. THE TOOL SHOULD NOT BE OPERATED AT THEMAXIMUM AIR PRESSURE - The tool air-line should beconnected to the power source through an air-linepressure regulator and air-line filter. The air-lineregulator should never be set higher than 110 psi asmarked on the tool. Lower pressures may be used asrecommended by the manufacturer.

21. HAZARDOUS POWER SOURCES SHALL NOT BE USED -Hazardous power sources including, but not limited to,oxygen, combustible gases, sources whose pressure canexceed 200 psi if the pressure regulator fails, bottledgases, including air should never be used.

Limited One Year Warranty

Porta-Nails, Inc. warrants its products that it manufactures to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one year from the date of purchase to theoriginal end user. In the unlikely event that a problemoccurs, return the product to our factory or authorizedservice center freight prepaid and allowed, so that adetermination of the fault can be made. If the fault isdetermined to be defective materials or workmanship, a no-charge replacement or repair will be made, at ourdiscretion. The product will be returned to you freightprepaid and allowed. FOR THE 421 and 422 PORTAMATICTOOL; Damage caused by use of oil in the tool will not be covered under warranty. This warranty does not coveraccidents, abuse or misuse and in no case will PNI be liable for incidental or consequential damages. No other warranty written or verbal is authorized.
