What is Read International?
Read International is a volunteer based charity, raising books to
provide less fortunate people with educational books in order to
widen their knowledge and understand.

Why does ReadInternational do
this?• Gaining an education is a vital step towards a
future free from poverty.
• A demand for textbooks in East Africa
Tanzania follows a secondary school syllabus
almost identical to the UK. As a result, an
average pupil to text book ratio is 5 to 1.
Students do not have the resources they need
to achieve their full potential through the
power of education.
AhmadiRead International supports people such as Ahmadi whose 18
from Tunduru Secondary School. He has big dreams and high
ambitions for a brighter future and with everyone's help then
we can provide people like Ahmadi with a better education.

Who are WE and what is OUR
aim?WE are:
A volunteering team at castle sixth form consisting 6 year12 students
OUR aim as Castle Volunteering Team is to:
• Get 1000 books
• Raise £500 for these books to be shipped over to Tanzania and to renovate the Libraries
• Raise awareness of ReadInternational so that together we can provide a better education service in Tanzania
What can you do?

What you get to do:On the 16th November, a NON-UNIFORM day will take place.You have to wear a colour(s) off the Tanzanian flag
