Micropile casing | Foundation and consolidation structures
The application is undertaken by drilling into the ground and inserting casing segments threaded together, until the desired depth is reached. Grout is injected into the casing, spreading, where necessary, through holes or valves in the casing, which allows the direct formation of a pillar in the ground.

Micropile casing is used as deep foundation structures element for the support building works and infrastructures. Ankorig:

The typical joint involves a Male/Female thread coupling between a series of pipe.
Based on the demands of the customer, Ankorig can produce Male/ Male/Sleeve or Female/Female/Nipple joints.
Developments in technique have extended the use of micropiles to soldier pile wall structures, umbrella roof for the temporary support of tunnels, jet-grouting and mines.

Advantages of full thread:
Size the bar via direct cutting on site.
Lengthen the system by connecting extra bars using the sleeve joints
Bend the bar freely to achieve the required form, maintaining full use of both screw ends.
Increase the adherence between the steel of the bar and the injected grout.
The Tenso.Rig bars are solid B500B or S670 steel bars with full left-hand thread and a special profile.

The dual protection system has multiple advantages:
The lower part of the bar is encased and protected by a heat-shrink cap. In the event of having to join two or more bars together, the coupling is recommended through the use of two short nuts and a sleeve (this is to avoid an accentuated bending on the bars) or alternatively a sleeve of longer length and finally a heat shrinkable sleeve (this operation takes place directly on job site).The head of the bar is made up of heat-shrink protection, a section of free bar (around 20 cm), a nut and a perforated bearing plate.
The dual protection system has multiple advantages:

TENSO.Rig pre-injected anchor bars are made up of a full continuos threaded bar protected by corrugated sheat in high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and by grout injection along the whole bar.

The sheat made of high density polyethylene (HDPE), thanks to its corrugated shape, allows the distribution of the tensile force to the injected grout and then to the ground. The size of the thread varies depending on the thread bar used.

The self-drilling hollow anchor is a very versatile tool, which guarantees maximum flexibility and speed of installation.
The threaded profile has multiple functions:
acts as a connector, enabling a series of bars to be joined together, using couplings;enables the installation of the drilling bit most suited to the ground conditions;it is used for direct attachment to the drilling machine;enables the bar to be cut to the desired length, whilst maintaining the threaded end; the corrugated form increases adherence between the steel and the grout or injected resin.

The self-drilling hollow anchor bar carries out three functions:

These instruments are used for nailing, anchoring and micropiling, in earth or in rocks.
The bars are produced using plastic de-formation, creating the full ISO 10208 thread on the outer surface of a pipe.

This certificate was first issued on 24/02/2017 and will remain valid as long as the test methods and/or factory production control requirements included in the harmonised standard set out above, used to assess the performance of the declared characteristics, do not change, and the product, and the manufacturing conditions in the plant are not modified significantly.
