The York County Truancy Prevention Initiative is expanding

the York County Youth Court Alliance to the South Eastern and Hanover School Districts, as well as

broadening its scope at William Penn Senior High School in York City.

Attorneys are needed to train and assist students in

facilitating the Youth Court Alliance proceedings.

Volunteer commitment would average about 2 hours per month, from August 2012 to June 2013, and with

The York County Truancy Prevention Initiative, a program of the United Way of York County in partnership with the York County Bar Foundation, invites EMPLOYEES of the York County community, EMPLOYERS of the York County community; and current College Students to SHARE THEIR STORY! Where do you work (or go to college)? What’s your typical day like? What inspires you? Why do you love what you do? Our York County youth need to hear and want to learn from you. Help us create a magazine for our youth that will share the stories of our York County successes. Donate just 10 minutes of your time by completing our survey of questions and greatly impact the career choices of many York County youth. Share your story to inspire York County youth to re-enroll in school and stay in school!!! How to sign up:

LOCATION : YORK COUNTY BAR CENTER

In this session, you will learn what working women are entitled to under the FMLA, as well

as the myriad of leave opportunities available under FMLA. Lean what options are available under the ADA for individuals who are not FMLA eligible or who work for employers with less than 50 employees. You will also learn the basis of anti-discrimination and anti-harassment laws affecting working women. An outline of working women’s rights will be provided to all participants. The PACLE Board approved this program for 1.0 hour substantive credit. To receive credit, all

attendees must be registered and in their seats by 12:30 p.m. Late arrivals will receive no credit.

Leg Up Farm is a non-profit therapy center in York County, PA, for children with disabilities and developmental delays. It is designed for infants, children, adolescents and young adults up the age of 21 with special needs. The center combines a state-of-art medical setting with a child-friendly environment that caters to both children and their families. The “Circle of Care” program provides comprehensive therapies all under one roof by bringing therapists of different specialties together to create a customized program with a team approach.
