Manager at Giles County Animal Hospital, Mandy Long, was looking for a way to more efficiently communicate with her clients. Phone calls were going unanswered and email was too slow for the communication that needed to take place for patient care and follow-up. She under- stood that their clients couldn’t always pick up the phone or listen to voicemails, especially during their busy days. Staff was also constantly having to put clients on hold during the busy parts of the day. She was looking for another way the hospital could communicate with clients that was faster and easier but also allowed staff to keep documentation of the communication taking place for patient records. Text messaging allows clients to be able to get their message across without having to sit on hold.” – Mandy Long Manager Giles County Animal Hospital
