What is Evolution’s relationship with CliniSys?

Not only do we source and hire all of their talent, but we also provide a virtual talent department, that scales up or down to meet the ever-changing resource requirements of CliniSys. We manage their entire internal and external recruitment supply chain and provide value added services across recruitment, HR and marketing. This includes interview training, EVP training and the management of their Careers website, “We Love Pathology”. Overall it is a genuine partnership whereby we are trusted to manage their recruitment strategy and everything that supports it.

How does the recruitment partnership work?

SMEs that need to hire large volumes of candidates who work in niche specialisms often find that having an internal recruitment team at a competitive level can be an extremely high cost resource.

Ultimately, we are their virtual talent acquisition department, fully integrated into their HR function. This means that we work in partnership with them, both remotely from Evolution’s Head Office and onsite, providing the full recruitment process outsourcing for all roles, from vetting candidates and arranging interviews to negotiating and making offers.

What were the biggest issues CliniSys had with contingent recruitment?

There were three key issues CliniSys had with contingent recruitment; firstly, resource and demand on hiring managers. By utilising our TaaS service, we were able to support CliniSys by giving the management team their time back, and increasing the resources available to them for hiring.

Secondly, the time to hire was excessive which meant that there were issues within the business around filling open positions.

Thirdly, another issue was determining the CliniSys EVP (employer value proposition) – namely, how they actually market and “sell” their business and their brand to prospective candidates to join the business. Analysing this helped CliniSys really look at what the company stands for and the corporate values they espouse, what they’re trying to do to attract candidates to the company, as well as delivering value to UK healthcare.

What problems has TaaS solved?

In addition to the day-to-day, there are challenges that come with running a business. In one case, CliniSys had to double the size of one of its development teams extremely quickly for a critical international business project, and the entire process took approximately six weeks. The feedback from CliniSys was that they particularly found the dialogue between ourselves and their hiring managers to be what they were looking for, and the development team we hired for them is still in place, which speaks for itself.
