Berkshire Hathaway - Vandergriff Automotive consists of five dealerships: Hyundai, Chevrolet, Toyota, Honda and Acura. Originally, they had (750) 1000-watt metal halide lights. Metal halide lights are traditionally hard to maintain, so only about 20% of the fixtures across all five dealerships were functioning properly.

LSI partnered with Vandergriff Automotive to develop a lighting plan consisting of: Large Slice LED Area Lights (XLCL), Medium Slice fixtures (XLCM), LED Flood Lights (XFLM), LED Patriot Wall Sconces (XPWS3), and LED Downlights (PDL6K, LCD8). The dealerships were very satisfied with the enhanced sense of safety, dramatic reduction in needed maintenance, and substantial energy cost savings.

This demonstrates LSI’s ability to retrofit for dealerships, creating lighting plans that reduce the number of fixtures and the wattage consumption, yet still maintain a bright, even appearance. Ultimately, the dealerships at Vandergriff Automotive will see a potential $1M+ in energy and maintenance savings within a decade.
