London’s South Bank is set to be transformed by a unique mixed-use development with the famous Shell Centre Tower at its heart. TCi (GB) Ltd were approached to supply and install our Mesh Basket System within the arched welfare areas and locker room benching for 300 site operatives and trade contractors. This element of works was the initial phase of ongoing services provided by TCi (GB) Ltd on the project.

Battersea Power Station Redevelopment

Carillion is one of the UK’s leading integrated support services companies, with a substantial portfolio of Public Private Partnership projects, extensive construction capabilities. We approached Carillion with regards to the Battersea Redevelopment Scheme. We worked closely with one of Carillion’s senior buyers to ascertain their needs to provide an adequate facility for their onsite employees. Subsequently a presentation was delivered and accepted. An order followed for Office Desks, Office Chairs, Canteen Units, Lockers and all other ancillary items. This project further cements the working relationship between Carillion PLC and TCi (GB) Ltd.

Interserve, the international support services and construction group, has been selected to build the new £200 million Defence establishment at the Defence and National Rehabilitation Centre (DNRC) at Stanford Hall, near Loughborough. TCi (GB) Ltd procured and project managed the installation of Office furniture & Welfare Equipment to accommodate the project team and 200 operatives.

Balfour Beatty were awarded an £80m contract to construct the National Automotive Innovation Centre (NAIC) for the University of Warwick. Through competitive tender TCI (GB) Ltd were awarded the contract to fit out the modular buildings for the construction phase. TCi (GB) Ltd procured and project managed the installation of Office furniture & Welfare Equipment to accommodate the project team and 250 + operatives.

AstraZeneca, New Global R&D Centre

In March 2013, plans were announced to establish a new Global R&D Centre and Corporate Headquarters in Cambridge on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus, the future home to approximately 2,000 employees. Skanska Construction were awarded the contract to build the £300m scheme and in June 2015 works commenced site. TCi (GB) Ltd through competitive tender achieved contract award for the FF&E Installation for the modular temporary accommodation units. Over 300 workstations for the Project Team and Welfare Solutions for up to 1000 operatives was successfully delivered.

Brookfield Multiplex secured the conversion of London’s landmark Centre Point office tower into 82 luxury apartments. Works will complete in the second quarter of 2017, and create a pedestrian square that links the building to Oxford Street and Covent Garden. TCi (GB) Ltd procured and project managed the installation of Office furniture for the project team and designed a solution for the welfare areas to accommodate over 300 operatives. This project further cements the working relationship between Brookfield Multiplex Construction Europe and TCi (GB) Ltd.

Centre Point - London

A stunning new riverside development offering a selection of luxurious one, two and three bedroom apartments and penthouses boasting magnificent views of some of London's most iconic landmarks. TCi (GB) Ltd were approached to supply and install Welfare furniture within the temporary accommodation for site operatives and trade contractors. This element of works was the initial phase in ongoing services provided by TCi (GB) Ltd

22-26 Albert Embankment, London SE1

Lend Lease secured the contract to design and build the new £250m super prison in Wrexham. TCi (GB) Ltd procured and project managed the installation of all the Office furniture for the project team comprising of 96 workstations and associated storage. Our personnel hold all the necessary certifications to successfully complete a project of this nature and TCI (GB) Ltd holds all relevant industry accreditations. This project further cements the working relationship between Lend Lease and TCi (GB) Ltd.

Wrexham Prison

The 50:50 joint venture, called Hercules, was awarded the contract by the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO).Hercules will deliver new single-living accommodation for military training and purpose-built enhanced training facilities. TCi GB were asked to provide a solution to the accommodation requirements on the Hercules project undertaken by Kier Balfour Joint Venture. A proposal was submitted based on their specifications and a successful negotiation provided TCi GB Ltd with an order for the works. We successfully supplied and installed office desks and chairs, screens and canteen units. TCi GB Ltd were able to carry out the afore mentioned works as we hold all current and necessary industry accreditations.

Pill Media, Manchester

Large 3-storey welfare & offices In November 2007 we completed the site offices and welfare accommodation for the development of Media City in Manchester. Media City was a huge project which encompasses the new BBC Head Office, Sky and other key media players.

TCi (GB) Ltd have provided 3 storey's of office and welfare furniture into 15,000 sq ft of buildings, which was supplied, installed and ready for occupation within the tight schedule.

Queens Building

Heathrow -T2a TCi were asked by Hetco to provide Office and Welfare furniture on the high security site of Heathrow. It required furniture on 4 storey’s with 2 levels of welfare incorporating Lockers, benches and canteen seating. All work would have to take place within a strict timeframe and it would be pivotal all deliveries and installation were run like clockwork.

AWE Project Mensa

TCi were approached by Wilson James to create a new welfare area within their existing office and welfare building on the AWE site. Understanding the high security of the site and the requirement to keep to the strict programme for work was paramount. The project would incorporate a hanging basket system in a secure room to provide a safe storage of operatives belongings and a changing area. This would ensure space would be maximised for the circulation of the personnel.

Description of Works

The Olympic Park, London

The 180 acre Stratford City site is located on former railways land bordered by Stratford Regional Station, Leyton Road and Carpenters Road. It is divided into two halves by the new Stratford International Station, with the northern site housing the Athletes Village and to the south Westfield's city centre development.

During its creation TCI won the builds contract with WACO to supply and install all floor coverings. In total TCI's flooring contractors installed 5,000m2 of vinyl and 2,500m2 carpet tiles. Our skilled joinery team installed over 200 toilet cubicles and 120 vanity units, complete with mirrors and soap dispensers.

In order to achieve this state of the art site, Westfield Ltd contracted Waco Premier Interlink to install a modular construction office. The modular construction office comprises of 80,000 ft2 / 7,500 m2 to accommodate 250 office staff and 2,500 site operatives.

The project took a record breaking seven weeks to complete, with TCI working around the clock to ensure the project was bought in on time and budget, whilst encouraging and actively promoting Health and Safety innovation, best practices and initiatives through our staff, sub contractors and systems.

Whilst the main build had been completed, TCI won it’s second large contract, this time working directly for the end client Westfield's Shopping Ltd. TCI's scope of works included the supply and install of 250 work stations and conference room facilities.
