Introduction
The Nose Clinic, a private healthcare clinic specialising in
functional and cosmetic surgery to the nose, wanted to launch
a sub-brand to cater for people who need rhinoplasty or cosmetic
nose surgery. It was important that this new service be seen as
approachable and knowledgeable. It required a brand image and
treatment that was distinctive and aspirational yet attainable.

Design Rationale
The challenge was to create an appealing, distinctive brand
identity that would differentiate rhinoplasty.co.uk from other
competitors in the marketplace. The identity had to immediately
inspire confidence, but had to retain a feeling of warmth and an
element of approachability. The Marketing Forge developed a
unique presence using hand drawn illustration combined
with a modern typeface, giving voice to the values of experience,
expertise and aesthetic skill for the clinic. Application of the
identity would span print and patient information materials,
digital marketing activity and signage.

This healthcare website was designed to be attractive, easy to
use and visually minimalist. Great care was taken with regard to
choice of image. The models were attractive, but in an attainable
way. We wanted to demonstrate nose profiles which would look
natural and realistic, rather than overly perfect.
Content was especially important to us. Most medical websites
have too much information placed onto a page. We wanted to
make the information relevant, appropriate and easy to find.
The result is a well planned and comprehensive website,
appealing to the target audience.

In describing the patient’s journey, clear illustrations were used to
outline the nasal surgical procedures available. We took great
care to write the text from a patient-centric viewpoint, providing
the information that they really wanted to know about.
The patient journey and perspective is well represented on the
website. This underpins the clinic’s approach to putting the
patient’s needs first.

During our consultation we listen carefully to
your views, concerns and desires and clearly
explain the possibilities rhinoplasty holds for you.
We will then produce an operation plan together
in an enjoyable and rewarding atmosphere of
mutual respect and openness. As we are providing
a medical opinion we charge a professional fee
for your consultation. In some instances we may
determine that it is not in your best interest to
undergo rhinoplasty and we will respectfully
decline to offer surgery.
We will encourage you to complain if you feel
we have fallen short of our own high standards.

we have developed a strong doctor-patient
relationship to recommend us to others.

Brochure
The brochure was designed in a ‘handy’ size to remind new and
prospective patients about the benefits of treatment at
rhinoplasty.co.uk. The brochure was given to patients post initial
consultation. It takes patients through the consultation process,
treatment and recovery. It explains how the Clinic and patient
work in partnership. As before, we aimed to show models who
were attractive, but attainably so, with realistic nose profiles.
The format of the brochure was a concertina fold and a stylish
slip case.

Patient Information Folder and Stationery
The Coordinated Stationery and Patient Information Folder
incorporate The Nose Clinic's core brand values. The brief was to
provide a stylish, modern Patient Information Folder with a clear
and simple design. Spot varnish was used to add value and
styling to the folder and its contents.
The folder links to the evocative images found on the website,
reinforcing the brand image. The brand values were also carried
through to the stationery.

Chapter and Verse Booklet and Microsite
The Chapter and Verse Booklet and Microsite was
designed to help inform patients about how their rhinoplasty
treatment is likely to progress. The relationship between patient
and Clinic is explained. Once again, the content was very
patient-centric. Many prospective patients are understandably
nervous about surgery, and this booklet aims to put them at ease.
The Nose Clinic needed a way to both reassure and prepare
patients for their treatment, from initial consultation, through
surgery, post-operative recovery to follow up consultations.
