First Half:
ch 16
Row 1: RS work (dc, ch 1, 2 sc) in 4th ch from hook, sk 5 chs, work 5 tr in next ch, sk 5 chs, shell
in last ch. Ch 1, turn. 5 tr, 2 shells
Row 2: WS sl st to first shell's sp, work beg shell, ch 2, sc in first tr, (ch 4, sc in next tr) 4 times,
ch 2, shell in shell's sp. Ch 1, turn. 6 ch lps, 2 shells
Row 3: sl st to first shell's sp, work beg shell, ch 2, sc in first ch 4 lp, (ch 4, sc in next ch 4 lp) 3
times, ch 2, shell in shell's sp. Ch 1, turn. 5 ch lps, 2 shells
Row 4: sl st to first shell's sp, work beg shell, ch 2, sc in first ch 4 lp, (ch 4, sc in next ch 4 lp) 2

Rep Row 2‐7 until you have 12 pineapples, ending on a Row 6. Fasten off.
Second Half:
Row 1: with RS facing, join yarn with sl st opposite from first shell of Row 1, work beg shell, sk
6 chs, work 5 tr in next ch opposite 5 tr in Row 1, sk 6 chs, shell in last ch. Ch 1, turn.
Rep Rows 2‐7 until Second Half measures same as First Side, ending on a Row 6. Fasten off.
Edging:
With RS facing, join yarn in the side of an end shell, work 2 sc in same side of shell, (ch 1, 2 sc
in side of next shell) along one side, fasten off. Repeat on other side. Weave in all ends.
Optional Tassel (make 2):
Cut 8 10 in. lengths of yarn, fringe each end in center ch 4 lp; trim ends to desired length.
Mist with water and block or press with warm iron on WS if necessary.
