SESSION 2 CLASS
Class name: Speak Easy Class description: Public Speaking is the number one fear among adults. Why not conquer that
fear as a child when inhibitions are low and learning new skills comes naturally? Our children will be required to make presentations and command
an audience as soon as junior high. As they go through higher levels of
education presentation skills become the key to success. Through engaging interactive games and fun activities, students will learn to get past their fear,
embrace their audience, write and deliver an effective speech, and improvise. This class is empowering and FUN! Class will culminate with a speech
presentation for family and friends. Teacher-to-student ratio: 12:1

Subject and Vendor: PIANO KEYBOARD CLUB WITH MUSICAL MINDS
SESSION 1 CLASS
Class name: The Piano Keyboard Club Fall 2019 Class description: Kids will have the opportunity to learn to play their favorite songs and music on
electric keyboards. Radio hits, movie and television themes are made so easy, that
our participants will be playing them after the very first class! The club is a
combination of keyboard piano lessons and a music learning workshop, which uses
a clever visual method to teach the basics of music reading and piano playing.
We've developed lots of learning games and activities designed to teach kids basic
music reading skills and playing techniques, in ways that are fun, engaging, and
stimulating. We want our students to stay motivated and continue to want to learn
to play music, whether they like Bruno Mars or Beethoven. We have all the music
they want. We have music from Stars Wars, Jurassic World, Moana, Coco and lots
more. Each participant has his/her own keyboard supplied during the class, along
with headphones, and books and other materials are included.
This session is for both brand new students AND more advanced students. Teacher-to-student ratio: 8/1

Class description: School clubs are designed to accommodate a range of ability and experience levels within the classroom. Full group lessons draw from
books on strategy and grandmaster games. These lessons are reinforced with small group activities where students practice skills like development, tactics, and checkmate patterns while building on their foundational chess knowledge. Students regularly participate in classroom tournaments that provide a chance to utilize their abilities in actual gameplay. *We prefer to have one parent volunteer per session who assists with
classroom management and tasks. The cost for their student to attend the school club is waived.

Class name: TECHVENTURE KIDS: CREATE WITH CODE Class description: In this TechVenture Kids after-school Code Club, girls and boys
explore how to design and create their own games and animations. Kids practice the core concepts of computer programming using the SCRATCH development platform. With new projects each session, students express their creativity and advance as a coder. Through fun coding projects, mini challenges and a BIG PROJECT, students exercise STEM skills in creativity, reasoning, math, design and problem-solving. Students are also encouraged to collaborate and present or share their projects with others. This coding club is open to all levels, beginner to advanced.

Class name: TECHVENTURE KIDS: Exploring ROBOTS Junior
Class description: Curious about robots? In TechVenture’s K - 2 Robotics Code Club, we combine robots with coding to ignite children’s imaginations & build confidence in how they look at the world and approach problems. We’ll explore how to build and program robots using various platforms such as Lego WeDo, Wonder Robots or Ozobots. Students learn AI and how robots are only as smart as they make them, both in physical design and computer code. That's what we practice - making our robots act smart! Students work together as they develop their skills in reasoning, math, creativity and problem-solving in a fun, collaborative and supportive environment.

operating After School and Summer Camps in the greater Seattle area and
Eastside. LEAP provides proprietary educational building and lesson plans for
Structural, Mechanical, Computer Engineering and Computer
Programming introduction. Since 2009, LEAP has provided fun and
engaging LEGO and STEM programs for over 30,000 kids in the greater Seattle
