Always say „no‟ to 3 C‟s – Condemn, Criticise or Complain.
But have 3 C‟s with you – Courage, Commitment and Conviction.

This is the last issue of Cascade for the academic year 2017 - 18. It has been an
exhilarating year, fully packed with academic and co-curricular activities. The cascade team
found lots of activities to cover in this last quarter. Well, we did it with team dedication and
proper guidance from our Principal. In accordance with the school motto, we reached out to the
needy, we reached high to clinch excellence and we reached beyond to excel. Now it‟s time for
our students to do the same. We wish all the students to work hard to reach high. Special wishes
and good luck to our XII and X Graders. Work the hardest and make us proud.

The Indian mythology
India is a country with different cultures and traditions. Indians value their history and mythology
and consider them as a part of what they are and what they were. The Indian mythology also
known as the Hindu mythology has its origin from the Vedic period. It has shown us great souls
like Shree Ram from the epic Ramayana by Maharishi Valmiki and legendary warriors like Arjuna
and Bhima from the epic Mahabharata by Muni Vyasa. The Indian mythology consists of puranas
which are legends about the creation of the world. The Bhagavata Purana is the most popular of
all the puranas. The Indian mythology sparks a sense of great respect and love for the traditions
and rituals of our country. It speaks about Gods being leaders who put faith in the people at times
of helplessness or insecurity. It is not just a fairy tale but a means to inform people that even at the
time of utmost distress, God is there as a glimmer of hope. This mythology has been placed beside
great and influential mythologies like the Greek and the Egyptian mythology. Sankeerthana IX A

1 The shorter piece will be randomly from 0 to 50 cm long, with an average of 25 cm. 2 You need m x n -1 steps. By breaking an existing piece horizontally or vertically, you
merely increase the total number of pieces by one. You already have 1 piece, so need
mxn-1 steps to get to mxn pieces.
3 The central 1x1x1 cube has 6 faces. Any cut can only reveal one of these faces. So 6
cuts are needed.

English – The Complicated Language English is a language
The most complicated
Even if you tell me why
I would not remember it.
There are so many letters
And add up to twenty six
This is interesting
But leaving me in a transfix.
There are homophones and homonyms
Which are slightly confusing,
Also synonyms and antonyms
That are bit baffling.
Some words are written differently
And are pronounced the same
Adverbs and adjectives together
Play a different game.
All the tenses
Always leave me tensed.
Something else that leaves me baffled is
All types of comprehension.
Even though English is complicated
I must say that
It is the most popular language
And we must not deny that!

The warlis are an indigenous tribe or
adivasis, living in mountains as well as
coastal areas of Maharashtra and Gujarat
border and surrounding areas. They have
their own animistic beliefs, life, customs
and traditions. As a result of
acculturation they have adopted many
Hindu beliefs. The warlis speak an
unwritten warli language, which belongs
to the southern zone of the Indo-Aryan
languages. Warli painting is the cultural
intellectual property of the tribal
community. Aditya Sai Prasanna IV C
IMPORTANCE OF GRAMMAR
Why is grammar important?
Grammar lays the groundwork for effective
communication. Grammar errors come in
many forms and can easily confuse and
obscure meaning.
How is grammar useful in the real life?
Grammar skills are useful in our life, from
education to an effective leadership, social
life and employment opportunities. They are
equally important at home where children
learn their grammatical patterns from their
family members. This puts the next
generation at an immediate disadvantage if
learnt incorrectly.
In conclusion, grammar rules are essential in
English language. Niharika Pai - V C
