  “For God alone my soul waits in silence;

from him comes my salvation. He only is my

rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall

not be greatly shaken.”  -Psalm 62:1-2

Have you ever noticed that God hasa sense of humor and enjoys making us

laugh and smile? Sometimes he makes

us smile over something little. Other

times it‟s over something big.

The other day I was sticking some

labels with a new address on the back of

some brochures Jon Boyd had made for

the church. (If you’ve been following us

lately you will know we have changed loca-

tions quite a bit recently). I got to the end

of the pile and realized I had just the

right amount of labels to brochures and

bust out loud in laughter. I stopped and

thanked God right then because in all

reality I was blown away with his sover-

eignty in that moment.

Strange you might say, that some-

thing so simple made me laugh out loud?

No, not really considering where I wassitting when I was working. You see, I

found myself in our new office/service

location (a space with room for probably

around 80 people) right across the hall

from where we had previously rented

office.

vember and prepared to move into a

Seeing “burros” (donkey‟s)

hauling a load of supplies and other

items in Colombia, especially here

in Santa Marta, is nothing out of

the ordinary. However it‟s not

everyday that you see a dog with a pet burro! It‟s amazing

that the longer you live in another country the „out of the

ordinary‟ becomes ordinary!

On top of that God saved us two months of office rent when we didn‟t have a location, just the time the fledgling

church needed to get it‟s footing financially over these past two months! His plan truly is amazing!

So, we are finally at a fixed location, no more wondering from week to week where we are going to hold services

and we have a place for office space throughout the week, as well as a location where we can start our Bible institute..

We have been averaging between 15-20 adults every Sunday since our initial launch service on Jan. 9, so please con-

tinue to pray with us that God grows his church according to his perfect timetable.

I‟m looking forward to seeing how God will make me smile and even laugh next as I get to see Him work in peo-

ple‟s lives here in Santa Marta! Stay posted!

Jackson has really enjoyed the wildlife here in Santa Marta. He loved watching his pet scorpion attack and feed

on cucarachas (cockroaches). He also enjoyed being the hero for a little lizard stuck in a window. His biggest

excitement in the past couple months was earning his yellow belt in Tai-Kwon-Do.

Makayla has been maturing so much. She is now in 2nd grade and is becoming very disciplined in not only her

school work but also gymnastics. She is very busy preparing a special presentation with her team and God keeps

opening doors for her to share Jesus with her friends.

Avianna has officially completed 21 days of school and is doing really well. She is in love

with her new little pet hamster, Henry. She loves to squish him into her Barbie furniture

and let him sit in her Barbie chairs. I‟m not so sure how much Henry likes it, but he
