Research shows that the in the first five years of life a child develops 90% of their adult-size brain. Children may fall behind in both academic and social skills if they are not exposed to the right kinds of stimulation. Unfortunately, this gap only gets wider as children grow older. There are many ways to encourage a child’s early development. KITE (Key Initiatives To Early Education) is a town-wide collaborative effort aimed at enhancing early education and child care opportunities in the Town of Enfield by:• Providing information and resources about early education and child development

to families in Enfield. • Educating the community on the value of early learning. • Empowering families to maximize their child’s readiness for school. • Offering professional development for early education providers in our community.
