Trip mantras: Pacing is everything, wetness is the essence of beauty.

Day one Sunday, May 31, 2015 Denton | Austell10:00 AM | On The Road Again

^Hours of this, really. 11:00 PM: Arrive at Six Flags Over Georgia - Sleep Inn at Six Flags

Get checked in, look at dat helix over derr, attempt to sleep.

Day twoMonday, June 1, 2015 Austell | Atlanta10:00 AM | Six Flags Over Georgia

Goliath: The headliner, a top-10 B&M hypercoaster notable for its large second drop outside the park boundaries, iconic downward spiraling double helix, and lack of a midcourse brake run (pictured, orange/green).Mind Bender: A Swarzkopf classic looping roller coaster that loops through densefoliage and uses the terrain to its advantage. At 37 years old, it still ranks 20th onAmusement Today's Top 50.Dare Devil Dive: A Gerstlauer Eurofighter coaster with a vertical lift, a beyond vertical drop, and lots of twisty bits.Batman: DC superhero turned inverted roller coaster, this design is all butunanimously considered the best coaster design ever to be mass produced.Superman: DC superhero turned flying roller coaster, notable for its face-down 'flying' position and forceful pretzel loop.Georgia Scorcher: Oh, the stand up roller coaster...tbh I just can't right now. This is supposed to be one the best coasters of this genital-murdering coaster type (pictured, yellow/purple).

8:00 PM | Dinner and Centennial Olympic Park

We'll be about 15 mins from downtown Atlanta, and if we're up for it we can grab dinnerdowntown, stroll around the park, and ride the 20 story SkyView ferris wheel (there'seven a groupon https://www.groupon.com/deals/skyview-atlanta).Day threeTuesday, June 2, 2015 Fort Mill | Charlotte4:00 PM | Onward to CarowindsWake the eff up and we're off to Carowinds, we'll check into the hotel and catch our breath before we head to the park.

4:00 PM | Carowinds Starlight

We made it, and we're here to stand in awe of the towering twin B&Ms that brought us. Carowinds has 14 coasters, but with our brief stay in the park this evening we'll focus on the A-team:Fury 325: The reason why we're here. 325' of minimalist B&M steel stands starkagainst the sky, passing both over and under the park's new entrance over its 1.25 milecourse. THE HYPE IS REAL.Intimidator: According to one rider, this coaster is irrelevant now. I'd like to thinkotherwise, as 232' is still nothing to scoff at. A buffet of floater airtime awaits us.Afterburn: Like a mini Montu or Batman's older, loopier brother. Considered one of the better B&M inverts.

9:00 PM | Drinks in Charlotte? Fast food and veg out? You decide.

Day FourWednesday, June 3, 2015 Fort Mill | Greenville10:00 AM | Carowinds

Today we will get down on the full breadth of Carowinds' 14 roller coasters (well exceptthe kiddie ones...and the Vekoma boomerang...so basically 10 relevant coasters). Depending on how populated the park is, we can also ride the giant 300' chair swing and the unsung treasure that is the 1930s era rider-controlled Flying Eagles.

9:00 PM | Turn The Beat AroundWe'll make sure we're fed and have a moment to catch our breath, then put some distance between us and Charlotte before we lay our heads in order make our drive tomorrow bearable.

Day Five Thursday, June 4, 2015 Greenville | Denton10:00 AM | Homeward BoundWake up, get our continental breakfast on, and commit ourselves to the post-Fury road.

11:00 PM | DenouementWith a spot of luck, we'll have 19 roller coasters under our belts and if I've done my job, minimal levels of fatigue.
