The Camaleão trio elétrico, or sound-wired truck, has been voted The Best Bloco in their circuit several times.

Since 1990, Camaleão has paraded with Chiclete com Banana, one of the

most successful bands in Salvador Carnival

Blocos/Abadás:

4th Friday – 5th Saturday

The legendary Salvador band created by Carlinhos Brown with

reinvented sonorities for the timbal, had been around for five

years before it branched off as a bloco in Salvador Carnival.

Bloco Timbalada was a hit the moment it first hit the streets in

1995.

4th Friday – 6th Sunday – 8th Tuesday

Bloco Afro Olodum mixes reaggae –samba with lots of

perscussion. Olodum celebrated 30 years in 2010 and is

famous for its participation with Michael Jackson in 1995.
