Attached please find the Citywide Outside Counsel Expenditures Report for Fiscal Year 2013 as of March, 2013 (Third Quarter). Pursuant to City Council approval of July 27, 2011, this report now captures expenditures on a quarterly, rather than bi­monthly, basis. As directed by Council, the City Attorney met with the GAO to discuss appropriate revisions to this expenditures report. As a result of that meeting, General Funded contract expenditures are now separated from Special funded ones and the recap is organized by client department rather than paying department. There is also the addition of a "Status of General Fund Appropriations" which shows any previous draws from the Unappropriated Balance outside counsel line item for the year and the remaining balance in that line item.
