About us
Founded in 1966, the company has always worked with civil and industrial lifting and handling equipment. Since 1990, it has concentrated on producing mechanized parking sys-tems for cars and larger, heavier vehicles, building on the ex-perience gained in creating Italy’s fi rst car lifts.
Almost 50 years of experience in installing more than 2000 installations have enabled CARMEC to become an industry leader in Italy and abroad, with a solid base of design and manufacturing know-how. All systems are made in Italy, cer-ti� ed and can be customized to meet the customer’s needs and make the most of available space. Particular attention is devoted to pre- and after-sales service, which is guaranteed thanks to the involvement of local partners.
Respect for the environment starts at the factory: all the en-ergy used is produced by our system of photovoltaic solar pan-els. We are committed to selecting raw materials with care, opting for those with the lowest environmental impact. In ad-dition, all of our installations are designed to minimize electri-cal power consumption during operation.
High quality, safety and reliability are our bywords, in everything we do.
Made in Italy
All systems are designed and built entirely at our plant in Castiglione Torinese using high quality materials purchased only from domestic suppliers.

We work together with architectural offi ces, professionals, building contractors and private customers.
As a dynamic example of an SME, we do business on the Italian market and have a number of installations outside of Italy, including: Switzerland (La Punt- Chamues-ch, Saint Moritz, Geneva, Lugano), France (Fontainebleau), Romania (Bucarest), San Marino.
We also work in the packaging industry, producing cardboard box manufacturing machinery and providing service and main-tenance performed by highly specialized technicians. We have worked in France, Spain, the Netherlands, Austria, Germany, the United Kingdom, Poland, Romania, Madagascar, Zimbabwe and Réunion Island.
Market strategy
We respond to each specifi c need with a purpose-built system capable of fulfi lling the customer’s requirements thanks to in-novative and technologically advanced designs, and a close-knit team that works together in each stage of the process, from consulting with the customer to supplying the complete “turnkey” installation.
We guarantee pre-sales service to help the customer choose the most suitable system at the consulting stage, as well as after-sales service, where our local partners ensure that even areas that are not covered directly by the headquarters organ-ization receive service.
Innovation plays an essential part both at the engineering and design stage and at the organizational and corporate level, combining dynamism with a solid base of know-how.
In remodeling buildings located in historic city centers, we co-operate with the architectural offi ces and contractors involved, providing highly innovative solutions that can take any struc-tural or zoning constraint into account.

Certi� cation and recognition
The extreme importance that the company has always assi-gned to its systems’ safe design and use is underscored by the recent decision to have its car lifts certifi ed for use with an occupant in the car (see the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC). This certifi cation – which is now in the process of being obtai-ned – guarantees that CARMEC systems are fully compliant with the most stringent quality standards applying to safety-re-lated issues.
Because of its innovative technical characteristics, Model ACO-S was patented in 2006.
