SPACE INTERRELATIONS

CASTELLO DI RIVARA - RIVARA (TURIN)

The project presented in Castello di Rivara with its site-specific installation entitled Interrelazioni nello spazio is constituted by a fixed subtle optical fibre structure that tends to transform space in an illusory sense, dematerializing the physicalness of walls. The installation lines of light, passing through the walls make interrelate three different rooms combining them in the space of the whole artwork. The drawing in the space goes beyond the walls without the continuity solution, without allowing the viewer to understand its origine. Therefore, the installation having no total point of view, in its wholeness, can only be reconstructed as a puzzle in viewers' minds. The form of light transforms the space from the container of the artwork into an open and "permeable" form through a mental drawing materialized by the physical light of the optical fibre.
