For instance, featured speakers such as Debra Short, Dir. of the American Language Research and Jessica Williams from the University of Illinois at Chicago, addressed the integration of language and content as well as the methods that support learning, just to name a few of the hot topics discussed.

Advocacy &Policy and Summit
Once a year, English language educators from across the United States meet to learn about the inner workings of Congress, receive hands-on training on the fundamentals of advocacy, gain knowledge about the current political climate and trends as they relate to TESOL's priorities, and meet with members of Congress to share their thoughts.
“TESOL Advocacy Day was so well organized— it truly was a wonderful experience. I dare to call it life changing! I feel so empowered now to advocate for my students and for the
field!”
